Like the title says, I'm looking for something episodic or SOL (like Mushishi, Moyashimon, Mononoke, Master Keaton, and other titles starting with M, lol). It seems most slice of life are about little girls. Are there any slice of life that focus more on the male characters, or episodic anime about wandering dudes? Stuff like that, please.

Bartender.

It's about a guy who makes drinks for people based on the stories of their lives. Episodic, male lead, SOL; exactly what you're looking for.

Slice of life with guys only is very rare, but try these:

Antique Bakery: I never watched this one. It is basically about a gay couple opening a bakery and it is possibly "slice of life".

Bartender: I second that but I have never watched it before.

Persona: Trinity Soul: Not exactly slice of life, but it feels that way throughout the anime except during times of battle; half of the main characters are male if that is what you seek.

You may want to try Beck for a nice slice of life about a band. I'm not sure how episodic it really is but it fits the other two requirements of being SOL and having a largely male cast.

Honey and Clover. Slice of life. Protagonist is male; at one point he goes on a journey to find himself. The show has 4 male main characters and 2 female ones.

Genshiken. Slice of life. Almost all the characters are male.

I would have to go with Genshiken, and add Otaku no Video.
I'm back.

Only one of them is gay. No couples.

Try Here is Greenwood. It's pretty old, but it's an enjoyable OVA about a group of boys.

- Genshiken: The Society for the Study of Modern Visual Culture
- Great Teacher Onizuka
- Otaku no Video

- Golden Boy: Wandering Student
- Hokuto no Ken
- Kino no Tabi: The Beautiful World*

*Yes, I know Kino is a girl, BUT there's no focus on "girly" issues; in fact, if not for the 4th episode (or the novels) there'd probably be an ongoing debate as to her sex. She's never looking for love, she wears masculine clothes, and nobody tries to "hook up" with her. All she cares about is exploring.
