| Never thought I would make a thread like this, as I can usually decide for myself, but i've been housebound for 2 weeks now due to a leg injury, so i've been watching A LOT of anime and don't know what to watch after finishing Evangelion, and The End of Evangelion. I don't want anything remotely similar, and I don't want to watch a movie. What do you think from my PTW is best to watch after Evangelion; Is now a good time to watch the movies (1.0,2.0,3.0), or doesn't it really matter when I watch them? |

| I have no idea about your whole Evangelion suggestions. But I will recommend some things for you from your PTW. Another Ao no Exorcist Chihayafuru Death Note Durarara!! Hotarubi no Mori e (this is a movie, but damn it's a good one!) Toki wo Kakeru Shoujo (another excellent film) Katekyo Hitman Reborn! Kimi ni Todoke Lovely Complex Mahou Shoujo Madoka★Magica Monster Nana Steins;Gate Hope your leg heals quick and enjoy your anime watching. :) |

I don't really want anything like that. From gigglingidiot's list, I also recommend Hotarubi no mori e. More from your PTW that I recommend + isn't dark: Colorful (another movie though) Hyouka Toaru Majutsu no Index I've heard a lot of good things about Kokoro Connect and Kimi ni Todoke as shoujo. You could give those two a try if you're interested in that genre |

| I would highly recommend watching Code Geass soon. It is one of those anime where you just don't want to stop watching. And since you'll be injured and have plenty of time, it's perfect. It isn't really a dark anime, but since you don't want anything "remotely similar" I still recommend you watch something that Alex__ recommended, then Code Geass. |

| Chuunibyou demo koi ga shitai - definitely if you loved toradora, it's as beautiful as toradora in my opinion despite being shorter. Also if you're not satisfied with the ending, a promising OVA is coming soon. Chihayafuru - pretty refreshing Steins:Gate - a must watch anime in my opinion since it's much one of the best anime ever. Death Note - same as above Welcome to NHK - One of the best anime I've ever seen. Usagi drop - its easy to watch and refreshing. To aru majutsu no index - since you're kinda sick the soundtrack and action of this anime will get you in the mood. SAO, Mirai nikki and all those popular anime can be a good choice too despite their haters but they are way inferior than most I quoted above. I would recommend you Madoka Magica as well if you're up for more suffering stuff. Anyway just have a look at our compatibility and you'll notice why you shouldn't think twice before watching them. There are some anime I would recommend but you'll be busy by the time. PS: I ignored your NGE recuperation so some of them like Madoka or Welcome to the NHK are not suitable at all as for the other ones I don't think there's a problem. |
