The developer of Sonic All Stars Racing Transformed has offered a challenge to sega fans. Get three characters over 1,000 votes and he will talk to Sega to put them in the game as DLC. We have until December 1st.

We have a series of petitions (as well as the rules) over at this URL. You can vote for as many characters as you want!

Right now we're doing pretty good, but if we get more votes we will have a better chance of persuading Sega. I personally voted for Bayonetta, and the two characters from Valkyria Chronicles.

I like how your begging Sega to charge YOU money.
It doesn't think, it doesn't feel, it doesn't laugh or cry..... All it does from dusk till dawn is make the soldiers die.

I would have voted for Welkin and Selvaria if I was gonna play that game but I haven't played a racing game in quite a while now.
NEETs (No Employment Education Training) are the least desirable people anybody would want to hire and yet they are the first choice to become moderators/admins around the internet. They have yet to have established a sense of responsibility or role in society and many are plain leeches (with minor exceptions). They are given "authority" to police sections of the internet with the powers of The Judge, Jury, and Executioner. Isn't that weird?

*shrug*. That's one way of seeing it. The way I see it is I think the game is pretty good and I wouldn't mind some more characters for it. I'd probably get some DLC, so why not get characters in I'd want to have rather than leaving the picking straight to Sega?

Plus the game is only $40, so it's not even a full priced game in the first place. It's full of content and pretty good fun, so having some DLC characters would be icing on the cake.

It's funny, I'm not even really a sega fan. I picked up the game because I wanted a decent racing game for my WiiU until MarioKart comes out. I more think this is an interesting experiment. How often do developers reach out to fans? How often do devs who have a well-known ip do that?

It's more common than you think. Hell, just recently Namco has been supporting TTT2 with characters/content that fans have been requesting on Twitter. That, and most of the content (and all of the DLC characters) are free.

The gaming industry is going to become one big DLC money grab for publishers that will allow them to make a barren base game and charge for content that probably would have been on the disc if not for the masses of dolts throwing money away for crap like costume reskins, maps, and in-game items players could get themselves by just playing.

I hate how we have to pay extra for DLC instead of companies putting the characters people want in there in the first place. Either that or Pay 40 more bucks for the same game with added character like UMVC3 and SSF4 Arcade Edition did.
