There are different types of drama but here goes.
GTO-manga more preferably than anime but both are good.

Kimi ga Nozomu Eien - Romance, A LOT of drama. The end is kinda happy
True Tears - again wouldn't say it has the happiest ending, but its not sad.

Usagi Drop is a serious slice of life anime with a happy ending. It's a short series but I was surprisingly touched by this anime. It brought tears to my eyes!! It was very heartwarming and a relaxing show but at the same time it was very entertaining. Probably suited for older audiences as it is a pure slice of life anime (no action, fantasy or magic). There is a potential love interest which was sweet to see. There is a few short OVAs with this and they are also good to watch. One of them brought tears to my eyes not because it was sad but because it was so heartwarming and touching.
A house is made from bricks and stones but a home is made from love alone!
