This is also where you can post cards that you've made for themes to come and I will put them in the discussion for you. Or you can put them in for yourself.

Three is definitely enough for now and as far as i can see for the long run as well. Adding anymore would affect the work load for the future. Factoring in our basic cards plus LE, SE, and the others we will have our hands full.

If it is just us two making cards then I would recommend at least one or two other card makers. I say this in general since I can feel how we can get swamped in work in the future and for the fact that I will most likely be starting a new job soon I think it would be best to be cautious. However, we are still a baby club right now so we don't have to get too ambitious.

I agree, 3 is good.

Hmm I will try and get more people then. I agree it is getting busy >.< I make cards for Midnight Madness club too and I'm pretty swamped. I've been looking around other clubs who are getting more staff so I will try and model our positions after those.

Is there anyone else who like to Take care of claims with me. It is not that it is too much, it is that I am essentially the only person who cannot get a claim. Sure I can make one for myself, but where is the fun in that.

I know I am bringing this up for a completely selfish reason. However I think we can benefit from someone bringing there own style of card making to the table. Our individuality in the preparation of cards will be what holds us up in my opinion. Just food for thought.

Hmm.. sounds interesting. I never made claims before though xD . I guess it wouldn't hurt to give it a try. Besides.. it's monthly so I'm sure the work wouldn't be too demanding >__< . I'm up for it~

Any suggestions on another claim idea?

That's a good point that I never actually thought about xP MY BAD

Hrmmm I'm inclined to say let's have everybody work on claims but also have more than 1. We could say that each person thinks up a claim theme each month so that they sort of run the show for that one (chose the theme, open it, close it, decide limits, etc.) The everyone worked on each of them. Then when you are working on one put a note in the post saying you're working on it.

Does that make sense to everybody? I think that would keep the work load down still. Actually to lower the work load even more how about you three each pick a theme each month and I will just participate in helping make them so that there are 4 people working on 3 things.

And C2 don't worry about the weekend thing. delays aren't that bad :)

Does that sound good to everybody?

From now on I want everybody to put their name by what ever card themes they want to participate in. I'll have the list up for the month and you guys can sign up for them C:

I think I'll put up a few .... especially for august because I have a lot of time on my hands. And that way you guys can sign up for whatever ones you want to participate in. And the ones that no one signs up for I will either scrap or do myself.

Official Card makers must sign up for at least 3 ; ]

I'll put August up soon! I'll put the dates too so you can keep that in mind as well C:

I am happy to see that the claims portion of our club is taking off. However, being the one that brought it up, I have worries and concerns having seen how successful claims clubs and portions of clubs are run. I put much thought into this and I understand if it is too long and you do not want to read it. Please bare with me as many things in this post can be considered as a given.

Multiple Claims



  1. Having multiple claims is an absolute must in maintaining a popular claim thread.
  2. Each claim has its own thread.
  3. There are at least four basic claim types that are common among many clubs that I have seen:

    • Character
    • Anime
    • Manga
    • Couple

I feel this should be standard for us as well. The anime and manga claims are often combined into a single thread, but I have seen them done separately.

Schedule

What i mean by this is times in which members can request claims.



  1. All claims are given monthly.
    Personally, I think we should allow all basic claims every month. Of course this would lead to more work, but It would help. I honestly don't like the idea of a single claim every month. The times in which any of us in the club could once again claim favorite characters, anime, or manga could be months in between each other. I don't know about you, but if a claim from us lasts a month and the next time we can claim again ends up being half a year later I would not find it all to awesome if I miss the claim.

  2. The only claim types that shouldn't occur monthly are ones outside the the four basic claims I mentioned above.
    You may want to keep the claim I created since it is already there. It would make us unique I guess.This too increases workload. Keep in mind that it is merely a suggestion.

  3. The four basic claims should be closed at the end of the first week of every month to prevent overloading.
    This would leave three weeks for all other card projects we have going since claims are different in that there aren't a set number of cards that every member must choose from. Sure you can use the same style for every claim, but in the end you are still choosing a unique picture for every request. From square one it becomes more work than your typical card projects.

  4. To keep other admins free there should be a rotation in the responsibility of claims.
    For example, one month you are handling characters and the next you are doing anime and after that you may be off for that months claims. I am suggesting this under the presumption that we will have an increase in both members and admins in the future. Rozz has already proposed this idea essentially, I just modified it with the future in mind.

    Claim Availability

    *This is an absolute must regardless of if you take any of my other suggestions or not*



    1. It is mandatory that we make lists of all the things claimed and who they were claimed by for each month.
      In my opinion having another person claim your character after you did is a no-no. Especially, if it is my precious waifu. My fisrt thought is "Back off b***h shes mine." >:(
      Of course not everyone is as viciously territorial as me so you may be okay with stuff like that. I just feel it makes your claim less personal and exclusive. After all, claims are custom made for you by request and I doubt you want to share. However, I still find it necessary to record all the claims for archive purposes. Members are bound to want to know who claimed what to pick a unique claim anyway

We can decide as a group whether to have monthly character, anime, manga, couple that people have have a new one of each month. OR we can have say 4 claims a month and we think of new (or old) ones we want to do. So as I said earlier each of you get to chose a claim theme each month. We should start with those popular ones though. And probably cycle them through every 4 months or so. But I'd like to keep things different. I've been aiming to have the club be a bit different from the start.

Schedule
1. That's true. What we could do is have say 3 or 4 claims that are the same each month and then have a 1 or 2 news ones. Or we can do my idea above. I'm fine either way.
2. we'll think about it. That could be a premier one. But it's not that weird of an idea it could be a usual.
3. That's a good idea.
4. hmm I like that... and that would make it a bit less hectic.. but at the same time it might be kind of hard to organize...


OKAY Here's what I've decided so far based on what I've read so far
1. We will have 4 main ones that are open for the first week of every month.
2. For the next 3 weeks the three of you (TheUnexpectedFan, bebexsmilez, C2) can make a random claim that lasts however they want (not past the end of the month) and you guys will be in charge of those claims but I'll help make them.
3. Those 3 claims from point 2 will go how I explained in the post above
4. the 4 regulars that happen in the first week will be rotated between admins (as T.U.F. suggested) I'll make a post for the schedule somewhere either in a new thread or here in the staff room...
5. The other 3 claims will just be first come first serve for who does what. Mark in the post that you're working on it and the next person moves on the next. Those ones will just be too hard to organize with the freedom I'm giving each of you to do what you want with them.

Oh I agree. For the usual ones there will be a separate thread. But for the random other 3 I want you guys to put a comment in the thread of already claimed things.
Where I have staff requests for card themes.
When it's an ongoing thing I think it's fair to say 5 of the same one can be claimed. But since we're doing monthly there is no reason for people to need to repeat. Honestly if I see someone has already claimed the one I want, I wouldn't want it anyway :)

Remember that is not necessarily how many we have to do! You guys just sign up for the ones you want to do and I will either fill in the gaps or save them for another time!
You don't have to do them all!
But official card makers must do 3.
Also if you want to be an official card maker let me know ;)
Anyhooo the list is there! Put your names next to the ones you want to do! So far I'm sticking mostly to requested ones until I run out of those. I did add in Naruto as a request of mine :)

Wow! Good job, theunexpectedfan! That was a thorough explanation and it explained a lot about the job ^-^ . I'm new to making claims.. so your explanation helps a lot! I agree with a lot of what you've said. I like the 4 basic claims and the one week availability. I agree, we should also keep track of who claimed who so there won't be any conflict. I think the maximum of claim for the same: character, anime, manga and couple should be 2. Since we're still a relatively new club and there's so many anime, manga etc. out there ;O !

We should include a "Claim List Sign-Up" on the #2 post on here. So it'll be easy for us to access it and find who's in charge of what.

I will also make the claimed list I think just in another comment.... maybe I should make a completely different thread for everyone to see.... yeah.

Also I made it male characters, female characters, anime, and couple. Instead of having a manga one since we are Anime Cards Emporium and there hasn't been much focus on manga... but we could have that as a special one sometime if someone wants

Just 3 tops.
Each month you, bebexsmilez, and TheUnexpectedFan can make up some random claim in the last 3 weeks of the month. If you want to skip a month feel free it's not required I'm fine with breaks happening. Don't want to over work you :)
Then for each of the 3, we will all work on them.
So for yours you will be in charge of the rules of the club and when it opens and closes but me, bebexsmilez, and TheUnexpectedFan will also work on making those claims.
So it should end up not being a lot of work because you just go in and make one card at a time when you can over those 3 weeks. You guys can organize these claims however you want.

Hey guys, we are 1 member away from the 75+SE!!!
You were all great with the last one :) Anybody want to participate in this one?

Once again people who joined first get an extra card, so this time for the 75+ the first 50 people get an extra card.
But this time I want your opinions. Last time I had it that those first people got an extra card from each member. But I was thinking maybe it should just be that they get to chose ONE extra card from whoever they chose :O So if everybody offered 2 cards they could have the 2 from everyone and then chose another from just 1 card maker :O How does that sound? Or should I keep it that they get another one from every card maker?
