Hi everyone,

I just watched the first episode of Ga-Rei -Zero- and I'm totally disappointed.
But, as we all know, things can go better.

So I ask you: Would you recommend to continue or will it be just a stereotypical 08/15 action series?

Thank you in advance

The first episode was a disappointment for me too. It's also sorta' trollish as series will take a very different direction afterwards. Give it three or four eps to see if you like it or not.

The first episode has almost nothing to to with what comes next. So, yes, continue.

also it's a PREquel to the manga (even if it came out after)

I don't get why people get disappointed by the first episode. It was an amazingly clever idea and quite well executed. Or is it that some people can't handle anything surprising or that makes them sad?

Anyway the real series starts after that so no props.

First episode was a unique way to start a series. Yeah, it trolled us and basically killed off what looked like two main characters I'll give you that, but the real story is better. So yes, continue.

I love Yomi.

No. I liked the concept. The execution really bored me. I spent most of the episode yawning. The last moments of the ep looked gorgeous. That was all.

you're joking right? It was ridiculously stereotypical. O.o

also fyi OP, if you're going to ask about a specific anime and not recs you should post in the forum for that anime :3

Wait, wait. So, you can name other anime series that kill of what appears to be lead characters right off the bat? I can name maybe one or two off the top of my head, but not much more. So I fail to see what is so "stereotypical" about this.

IMHO they didn't even seem to be the lead characters in the first place since they seemed too stock.

Stereotypical my ass. Not a single anime did such a thing from all the anime i watched and i have 400+. Is it some-kind of a troll? Yeah in a way. But it's an awesome troll.
The thing is simple. The first episode of Ga-Rei Zero managed to shock pretty much everyone that knew nothing about it before watching and some seem to applaud the uniqueness while others got a hostile attitude against something that shocks them like that.

Agreed, I thought it was a great idea to start the show off like that.
