Have you seen Lovely Complex movie? I, personally, expected it to be super, like anime, but when I was watching it.. I barely could resist the temptation to turn it off.. Because I couldn't stand all those differences between anime..
So, my final score, will be, maybe 5 - 6 ..

I didn't even know that there was a movie! But I don't know if I'll watch it because I don't want to ruin the funny and heart-warming memories of the series. I wonder if the live action is good..........

I saw Live Action and I think it wasn't very good. T.T it's just because anime and live action movie is very different..

oh, and Risa's sister was so STUPID ;oo

I didn't like the Live Action very much. D: The actors sucked ('cept for Teppei, of course ;D), and it was just reaaaally corny.

I really loved the live action movie. But maybe I have different perspective because I watched it before I watched the anime or read the manga, so it kinda just kept getting better for me.

Anyway, there really is a lot of differences so maybe it's best to just take it as a different story. I really loved the sister in though, I was she was in the anime/manga.

is everyone in this thread retarded except Smiles???? the live action movie was fine the way it was. its supposed to be corny because thats the way risa and otani acted in the anime. the actors DID do a good job of capturing the characters personalities.

tho i agree the kiss at the end was too simple, it didnt bother me much. i enjoyed the movie.

I feel it depends on whatever you watched first.
My friend saw the live action, and swore by it because she loved it so much, however when I went to watch it I didn't enjoy it so much as I expected it to be like the anime, so I stopped after I got half way through.

But otherwise, it's down to personal preference. I feel that they both served there purpose, in targeting different groups.

I didn´t love it but I liked it. It is not as good as the anime of course but it has something. There were lots of things lost. I didn´t like the kiss at the end, so simple, as some people have said. The actress who played Risa made too much face gestures.. too exagerated in my opinion.

I liked it. It was too exagerated like HimeSama said but I enjoyed it.
Especially since I'm a huuuuge fan of Tamaki Nami and she played Nobu. Excuse me if the name is wrong, haven't watched LC since December. =-=

i didn't mind it, and I read the manga first and saw the anime after the liveaction
the differences were quite annoying for sure, but i lived with it.
Though i wish they hadn't taken away the brother for a girl instead and had better actors.
but that's just my opinion

Well if you watch alot of live actions movies based on the anime you will see its harly ever like the anime or manga at all. I think it has its ups and down because when you watch you you want it to me like the anime that you love and it can be a bit disappointing. Thats why i dont compare i think so what if its different different is less predicable you dont go in watching the movie knowing excatly what happends except the ending would be the same. The movie even though it was werid it was still funny to watch for me it was one of those movies you giggle, shake your head at and think oh my god. So even though its different give it a try you might not think it turned out so bad.

That is true. It is the same with the Death Note LA's out there. But I guess you really have to push the thought out of your head that, they are going to be different and just enjoy it for what it is .

Yeah, I agree with you!
And i didn't really EXPECT it to be nearly as good as the anime, but it was a good live action movie! One thing though, I didn't really think that Otani and Koizumi seemed to have such a big difference in height as in the anime XD

One thing that I loved about the live action...(except for that Otani was so good looking, like in the anime, haha! ^^) HIRO MIZUSHIMA!! O_O Though he didn't say much, and had such a different character compared to his character in Zettai Kareshi, but I love him anyway ;)
So it was a decent movie ^^ but the anime is WAY better ^^

I found the movie very average. Most actors are stiff and look rather weird than comic. Few moments were funny though.

I didn't like it, my rating is 4/10 D:

(and the actor who played Marty was so old, I was expecting someone better ¬¬)

When I first saw the movie I was like, what the hell is this. But then I watched it again and again... and again xD It might be annoying at first, but it was so corny that I loved it. And it introduced me to Teppei, whom I love.

I saw the anime first, then I saw the movie and then I read the manga. I don't know, but I love them all! Lovely Complex 4 life! ;-)

I've seen the movie too.. Well, I can't say that it's bad but I expected it to be better. I thought they would make it more like the anime but most of the scenes were new. Most of them were funny though =) But the actress, who played Risa, looked like a novice compared to Otani and in the anime and manga Risa had a younger brother nor a freaky looking sister (I'm sorry but that's how I saw her). And what about their friends? Definitely not what I've been expecting :/

I've watched the anime and then the movie. It was a bit strange because it seemed to be far too exagerated (glitters and so..) but after the first half it felt better. It's not the lovely complex that we know but it's worth watching!
Also, I agree with you guys.. the kiss could have been better for all the hardwork of doing the movie and for us who endured watching it till the end. :-?? I guess we have to imagine the rest ^.^

I found it okay ... koike teppei acted sooo good, he was soooo cute ! :D however that girl who played koizumi acted so bad, so irritating, she made spastic movements the whole timexd I would say, koike teppei made the movie worth watching
