| The obvious one is when Seigen hits Kogan with the Mumyo Sakanarage. The visual effects on this scene are amazing. It starts when Kogan attacks Irako inside and he jumps outside, narrowly avoiding landing on the sword Kogan throws at him. Then there is a flashback to the first time Seigen and Irako meet, and Irako opens his eyes to see Kogan as a tiger. And then Kogan looks at Seigen clearly and see's that he is no longer the amateur he was when they first met, but he has become a dragon - at which point I am wriggling in my bed unable to contain my astonishment at how amazing this anime is. And finally the clash - the two swords brush by each other just before a perfectly placed flashback of Irako slaying the previous Kogan pupils with the very technique he finishes Kogan with. Then as Irako falls to the ground, everything is still, the abrasive music suddenly cuts off, and I'm left with my jaw left hanging open. So many amazaing scenes. Fujiki also get's points for that time he takes out like 7 ronin with his bare hands. |
