I really want to watch it because I have heard it has great animation, plot and story going with it. But the BL tag is keeping me away from it from a long time.
Can somebody give me something that makes me want to watch it shifting my focus from the BL. I really want to try it because I love the mythological plot with lore that keeps me hooked.
Some assurance would be appreciated about something or anything good about this anime to get me to try it regardless of my bias. I am pretty sure that anything I start I usually finish it, unless it's absolutely garbage so I just have to give it 1 or 2 episodes. I just need a valid and interesting push.

The BL vibe may be there, but it's not more them a vibe. Chinese like censoreship... There are sports anime having stronger BL vibe than this one.
I absolutely love this show and you should give it a try.

The source material is BL. The show, however, doesn't go too far into it. If memory serves, there was no kissing or anything. I'd say the BL aspect goes as far as Yuri on Ice. Nothing relationship wise happens. They become close. But more as friends who understand each other, then lovers. I don't watch BL either, so I'd say it's a very safe show. The show itself is great, though. Give it a chance. But ask this question for season two as that might change.

Yeah I know it's not on the tag, but I just heard it from everyone. and this tag is a no brainer big nope for me. But I really had the hunch it's not that heavy in this anime....

If you really want to watch it, watch it. But if you’re scared of watching something with non-heterosexual people to the point where you need strangers to validate that it’s just straight enough not to destroy your fragility, you should skip the show and get seek therapy about how to live in the modern world.

Scared?What Fragility? Did I say I have a mental breakdown when I see these BL gay and lesbian sh*t?
I just said I don't enjoy that genre like you would I assume, so it's hard for me to start it if it can't give me something as a compensation for it.

Not like oh no this is affecting my mental health and what not. A great story is a great story and that's what I want to know if it is or not.

It is so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so so gay. If you’re scared then be careful!!! It may have an amazing story and characters and one of the best donghuas ive seen, but could be too much for the homophobics!!
