| same I noticed it in ep4 just look at the moment of the characters Well just watching it for the fight I saw in a video clip Also why did I feel like it's somewhat similar to solo leveling like that snake fight in both and system which show difficulty of the opponent |

| animation is the least of my worries about this series, the story is so cookie cutter and bland. scope itself is too shallow 5 eps in, agree this is a one ep wonder for animation though |

I think it’s the opposite, I can think of more 2d successes that they’ve had than failures. Whereas the 3Ds may have better animation and story, it’s incredibly niche because it’s too ugly for most people to try and get used too.
| @FurySlasher I have tried many times to get into 3d donghua, and only have seen like 2 examples that are good, one is the third season of a show that in its frist season looks like a ps2 prerendered cinematic despite it being made in like 2022, and the other one is To Be Hero X (which is the obvious pick, and it still has very stiff animation, but its compensated with the stylized models which help a lot). I alot of the problems with 3d donghua when it isn't just cheap trash like Martial Peak's donghua adaptation is that more fidelity, the better more realistic or at least fluid animation is needed, and 9 out of 10 times they don't meet the spot and its just uncanny to look at, they do some weird stuff with slowmo and impossible angles and stuff that is just distracting, their 3d animation peaks more in their videogames when you look at stuff like Wuthering Waves or more realistic stuff like Black Myth Wukong and their full lenght movies like the VISUAL MASTERPIECE that is Deep Sea or other movies like the Jade Dragon, or the beloved NeZha 2. I remember trying to watch a 3d donghua that was relesed on netflix becuase it legit looked like the best type of square enix type realism in terms of quality but the animation was either badly hand animated 3d or very bad motion capture with not stellar framerate that was also not polished in the slightest. If anyone got a short 3 donghua that isn't a mass produced weekly type thing with 11 seasons that does prove me wrong i would be glad to watch it ngl |
