Isn't there any new information? Is this actually in production? Maybe Madhouse is really busy with Frieren? sorry I have a lot of questions...

We haven’t had any new info since the end of the first season. It’s possible we’ll get more info soon, since the Clear Card manga ended almost a year ago.

I wouldn’t be too worried about its production, however. Madhouse is far from the biggest studio, but they’re able to have multiple ongoing projects due to outsourcing and having multiple producers. Yuuichirou Fukushi, the producer of Frieren, has not been involved with Cardcaptor Sakura, so Frieren most likely wouldn’t affect that show’s production.

Obviously I can’t say anything for sure, I’m nowhere near knowledgeable on the industry, so we really won’t know anything for sure until Madhouse just says something outright.
