Unfortunately not.
After an announcement goes to public it is very unlikely it would get cancelled.
It would require some sort of scandal or serious internal strife to cancel the project.

Damn I hope it is cancelled. After the amazing success of novel it was the anime's turn and I was so looking forward to it and it was debauchery. Such shitty anime just like arifureta. If that's how the animation is gonna be it better not be made.

Yeah it’s so bad, plot is mid and the mc is unlikable, I am not able to comprehend why is it so popular with such a cliche isekai storyline, but i guess it’s not my taste..

I understand, I have read the novel and it has cliche elements but the story is stil gripping and the pace is good but the anime and manga oh my god, the moment that animation came out, I wanted to get cancelled

I haven't read the novel or Manga so I can't say if it sucks compared to that, but come on. In the end it's just about having an anime to watch right? I really liked the first season and I don't think it should be canceled just because the novel/Manga is better. You've gotta be grateful they even made an anime of it imo...

Btw im no anime expert at all so if you don't agree with my opinion that's totally fine, I'm just your average weeb that enjoys watching anime whenever I don't have smth else to do B)

I've read 18 volumes of the Light Novel... I can tell you it's not worth it in the long run. There are some good moments but I got fed up with all the bushing around by the author. Whenever the plot could progress or there could be a nice twist, the story goes nowhere and nothing happens. Also no ecchi.

But so far, we have an Isekai that is an absolute travesty even on fundamental level.

I agree that this whole story is not worth watching for. I haven't read the LN but read the manga and it is horrible. Each chapter get's released months later and every time it gets worse. the anime was also a worse experience.

you just reminded me of this series. There are some animes that I watch and I consider pretty bad. Even while watching it, my mind is all "OMG, how were they capable of doing this piece of shit". but some of them are still enjoyable to me, even though they are bad, and this anime is one of them, so I hope it gets a sequel.

serious question to all those who liked this one: have you watched many or few animes before. not trying to shit on you, but this anime is the definition of generic mediocrity. there is absolutely nothing good in this anime, everything is absolutely generic and has been done in this exact way 100 times over. So how come so many people are so hyped for this one?

I have watched a lot of anime. More than what is on my profile. I think it has a good story and animation and I've been waiting for it since the first season was finished. I hope my answer helps in some way.

@5Cats same. i remember the name, gave it a 7 as well(if i finish a season for a show i give it at least a 6), started watching s2, had to go and watch a recap and still can't remember it.
