| Just read through for the first time. I think it depends on the tone the creator is going for. I thought this worked pretty well. It doesn't feel "sanitized" the way some newer works tend to lean towards but it also isn't ludicrously grotesque. I don' think it nearly qualifies for the most gory of all time. I'm watching the OVA next so it'll be interesting to see the contrast. |
| If there are gorier anime than Genocyber out there, I certainly have yet to see them. It really was in a league of its own in that regard. That scene where the children are torn apart by machine gun fire is seared into my brain. |
