 Once, there was a powerful city here. Then, one of the mountains blew its cap and the city was razed by fire and brimstone. Not even the charred bones of the city can be found anymore, and its name is fated to become myth. The mountains are covered in craters and charred ground from the attack. The land is lifeless. | -trekked into the area making camp in the clearing near the lake for fresh water from here he would go around the other areas to start scouting but first he put down his pack and started setting up his small camp he might be here for days before seeing what the reports were talking about trying to walk softly to not make to much noise but wasn't trying to be completely stealth either- This should l be the best spot for camp good sight lines clean water, yep good. |
| Its a miracle no spawn attacked during the set up of the camp. If he looked at the water, he could see movement in the lake. If he looked around at his landscape, the number of spawn is drastically reduced. The most common variant would be the Reaper, instead of the usual Razor. This could be linked to the anomaly occurring in the valley right now. If he looked far to the east, he would notice a Brute wandering about. |

| -looked around and noticed the lake smirking as he grabbed a rock and started skipping them across the lake staying a safe distance from the lake near the shallow part making sure he could see a few feet into the water keeping one hand on his weapon- hm, a water based spawn that would be something new wonder how much that would be worth. probably a bad security issue something like that could try to sneak through our water supply, and worm its way into the middle of the city. |
| On the second or third rock, a whip-like tendril broke the water's surface out of the lake and hit the rock from below. It never showed its face, or body for that matter, but from the black skin of the tendril, he could know that it was indeed a Shadow Spawn. It went below the surface again almost immediately after it appeared though. |

| -pulled out a camera to begin recording making sure the whole lake was in view and smirked as he took a few steps back and skipped more rocks trying to piss the monster off if this didn't work he would set out a trap with bait- come on you fish bastard, lets see what you got there shoudl be a nice reward for you. |
| Yet another tendril burst out at the rocks. Eventually though, its stops, as if the thing down there realized what they actually are. Red eyes appear near to the shallows as if investigated why inanimate objects are flying into the water, but it doesnt seem to see you. The creature crawls out of the water to investigate further and reveals that it is a plain Reaper. It sees you and lets out a high pitched shriek. Three more emerge from the waters. | -smirked and just observed for a few few seconds making sure he got good footage and then threw another larger rock right for its head making a large splash in the water as he puts both his heads behind his back pulling his weapons out ready for a fight- a body will be worth more then footage, may as well fight it while I'm here. but lets keep this fight between just us slimy |
| The rock hit the Reaper's head and the beast recoiled and then shrieked back at you. It uses its claws to drag itself along the ground, its body offering no resistance along the rough ground. It and the two others draw closer, making a low growling sound. |

| -smiled and enters a defensive stance holding his blades in front of him staying in view of the camera- huh 3 on one now that isn't fair. you need more then that. -took a few steps back moving closer to his tent starting to come up with a plan as he starts looking marking in his head the size weight and movements of the monster as he asses their electrical resistance charging up his blades ready for the first strike to shock the fk out of anything that touches him- |
| The beasts seem to be surrounding him or at least trying to. They havent yet. The one on the right leans forward on its claws and lashed its tail at you, hoping to cut him with the spike at its tip. |

| -dodges because he was ready but it was a fast attack.and tries to with one slice. to cleave off the tail and send a painful high voltage shock through it down the to its lower body towards the ground like a normal electric shock, or as he would put it shocking the shit out of it. as he moves move to the left towards his tent planning to use it like a net throwing it over and around the one to his left- OK if i can't win get one sample and leave, these things are probably toxic should avoid contact with the stinger and skin. |
| As he severs the tail, the piece that was removed turns into a black vapor and vanishes into the air. The beast itself shrieks from the shock and a sudden cloud of dark mist rises from its skin as you shock it. When the shock is over, the creature's tail regenerates and the same black vapor emits from its body. They follow his movements and continue approaching him. |

| -seems very displeased with this out come seeing their regenerative abilities along with their speed this wasn't nice and the fact there was three and he thought it would be best to leave he kicked over his tent sacrificing it to pin at least one of the spawn wrapping it up in the tent and the heavy metal anchors he then ducks down low tries to sprint past the two in front of him putting out both his blades for heavy low slashes to break bast them to get his camera and bag them leave asap- love to stay and fight but its just not worth it, job was to investigate reports so um bye guys have fun in the lake. |
| The spawn begins to thrash about in the tent and shreds it with the tail and claws it possesses. When he dashed and hit the claws, he would find that the metal hit the Reaper's claws with a "clang" making it seem like the claws were some type of metal. Beyond that, both the Reaper's tried to lash him with their tails, one missing terribly, and the other actually getting close enough to hit. The one that just got free trie to follow, but it isnt fast enough to catch up, same goes for the rest of them should you get away. |

| -took his stuff and sighed and didn't notice if he was hit moving at speed for a good while into the forest taking a very uncommon path through that only experienced peoepl to the area would know about to navigate. as he started uploading the full footage audio and all to the address he needed to so he could get his payment and attached notes to what he saw and heard- damn that was to close and i lost a tent i'm putting they in the report i better get a new tent for this info at least, maybe i'll get another muffin basket those were good. |

| At this point, the Reapers have given up pursuit and have went away. You cant see movement in the lake, which means they either went elsewhere, or they are too deep to notice. The tent is in shreds because of what he did to the Reaper before, but everything else is untouched. |

Not trying to attract attention yet, but if something didn't see him soon he would start making a lot of noise- ok i'm pissed now where is something i can brutally murder. |
| That Brute is still wandering around to the east, but it should be known to him that it is a tough enemy. If he wanted to fight it, he could, but it might be bad for his health. But he probably didn't care. |

| - the voice of the world was right he didn't care at all and started walking towards the brute trying to stick to the trees and uneven terrain where he would have the advantage as he took one of his hi calorie energy bars from his pack for an energy boost. then cracked his cheek and knuckles grabbing his daggers loosening up ready for one hell of a fight. and made sure it would also be caught on camera it would be rather useless without footage he hated writing long written reports when he could just tape all his fights instead- hey big one aren't you, wanna dance buddy? -looked at its height and weight trying to see where its weakest point would be looking at its legs seeing how well they supported such a heavy frame. and if he would be able to topple the monster with repeated strikes and cuts- |
| The 10' 4" beast was alerted the moment the moment you got within 20 feet of it by the sound of the branches. It ran, albeit not very fast toward the tree that the sound came from last, and reeled its arm backwards to strike the tree. Judging by the speed, sound it makes when it moves, and the thud of the earth when it runs, the beast is about 635 Imperial Pounds. Also, judging by the weight, and required force it would take to even move its arm, and the fact that its doing so effortlessly, if it hits the tree with its full strength, the tree will literally turn to splinters on impact. | -jumped back ducking behind a tree to use it as cover when the brute smashes through the first one he was near and sighed starting to think over his options staying in the cramped uneven forest terrain where someone his size had little trouble ducking in and around but something larger would as he payed close attention to the brutes hand swings and foot steps trying to guess its max range and seed to see if he had a speed advantage in this fight- so big guy your pretty pissed i get it but think we can talk this through? -started charging another bolt and his plan was to launch it at the brutes head to stun it as well as it would give off a loud snap that would disorient it, hopefully giving him an opening to go wild at its legs and tear them up- |
| The brute sees how you dodged and looks at you, it draws back its fist to strike at where you are now, it is a slow creature, but by how easily it pulverized a tree, the attack could very well cause immense damage to you if it hits. Its range is just beyond its arms reach, so staying out of that distance should be effective at avoiding it. |

| -sighed and kept dodging through the trees then ducks behind one for a moment his charge was ready put his hand onto the tree then launched a bolt from behind the cover of the tree right into the brutes head now that he was sure the brute would be watching the bold was blindingly bright and let out loud crackling snaps as it arched through the air towards its target- -hoped it would cause the monster to tense or flinch or something long enough for him to charge in his blades ready to slice up the monsters left leg aiming for the waist and knee with one fast deep slash to both as he would sprint past- |
| As the electricity hit the Brute in the Eyes, the brute began to thrash around rather berserk-like. Mindlessly swinging its arms and fists around, it hits trees and rocks but nothing else, from the way its acting, it doesnt seem to be able to see anything right now. If you had enough speed or agility, then you could easily dodge these blind attacks and strike wherever you want to hit. |

| -smirked and remembered the training courses he ran once almost every week since the arena was built to practice his speed and dodging. as he made him self as small as possible ducking down sprinting towards the brute with his blades out one aiming for the knee just above the bone where the thigh and shin meet on a human, aiming for the soft connecting tissue. the other blade aiming for the waist about where the thigh meets the pelvis the lower side of the brute to cut it up as well. aiming to reduce the brutes use of his left leg and mobility as much as possible- |
| The brute collapsed with a roar as his leg was cut clean off. The leg turned to black vapor and faded away as the brutes leg began to regenerate. The gash your sword put in its side also began to fade away, and a moderate amount of black vapor was rising from the monsters whole body. It hadnt gotten up yet, but its leg was almost fully regenerated, and its vision was returning. Possible Trend Discovered: Spawn do not typically have bones. | -looked annoyed at its regeneration speed though noticing the lack of bony resistance on his blades he decided to go in for a much more heavy blow this would be his best chance. he quickly ran forward again starting to get winded with all his running but pushed through it for a few more seconds. running right for the back of the brute swords with their blades below his palms in an upside down grip. his plan was to run up the Brute and slash its head off while it was open even if the monster could live without a head it wouldn't be able to see or hear for at least a few moments allowing Shiro some time to think or breath it couldn't regenerate forever could it? no it had to have a limit- |
| Considering that bits head wasnt that big of an appendage, it did come off without resistance, but it began regenerating almost immediately. The amount of vapor rising from the beast notably increases. Its leg was fully regenerated now and it got up after its head began regeneration. The beast began flailing about again as its head was regenerating, hoping to hit something, but failing miserably. |

| took a breath watching then looked annoyed and tried his best to stay, out of the way of its swing moving in a conservative fashion trying not to lose his balance. and goes for the left arm stabbing a blade up into its shoulder twisting to pop the arm. off. then he lets lose another shock his second of the fight he would only have one or two left before he was pushing him self to far letting the whoel charge rock throug hte brutes body. his other blade just goes to wild on the brutes side aiming for the upper body stabbing and twisting and stabbing again not going for clean cuts but just ribbing chunks of mass from its body hopefully faster then it could regenerate.- |
| Its head regenerates right as its arm is severed. The massive arm falls to the ground with a thud and begins to evaporate. Meanwhile, the arm is already regenerating. The Black vapor rising off of the beast becomes almost opaque as its body is nearly reaching its limit. The beasts tries to swat the little human away before the shock hits it. Its health was already low when this attack hit, and it let out a horrible roar and evaporated completely. In its place, was a glowing Red Crystal that falls to the ground after the beast's death. | Well, if he was feeling risky, there was another brute, 200 meters south. He could also continue searching for the new species, apparently north of his current position. Or, if he was willing to make the hike, he could go to the nearby Crimson Valley to investigate the surge of Razors in the area. Then there was also the book they had recently acquired. It supposedly shows people visions when they interact with it, and only opens for certain people. But that book was at the Central Tower back at the Academy. Or he could just wander through the wilderness to train. |

| You would find yourself in the mountainous area, and you might notice that to the east, in the distance, something is moving far away. Its so far away, your Spatial Judgement can only detect movement. To your west, you might see the entrance to a small cavern, but there seems to be a concentration of black vapors coming from it. Further to the north, you see the new breed. It was moving rather quickly and moved out of sight immediately. You could go investigate any of these instances. |

The monster looked very-much like an arachnid. It had six legs, an abdomen, and a torso. Its claws were sharp. Its four red eyes stared at you with a stare of hate and malice. The beast obviously wanted nothing more than to kill you, but took an apprehensive stance that only a defensive animal would take. Normally, it has been observed that Spawn are usually highly aggressive, but this one seems to be ready to defend. It let out a horrible, ear-piercing shriek and two more of them appeared from the outcropping. They screamed again and another two appeared, making a total of five. | (its cool, and also shit 5 v 1 bad odds) -kept his distance getting a good look at them also in a defensive posture staying close to the tree line. trying to see any where he could get an advantage, or to funnel them reducing the advantage of numbers they currently have. |
| They were directly beneath a small ledge, he could climb it and try to kill one, but anyone with common sense would know its too risky. These beasts are unknown. They are too much of a variable to engage directly in combat. They dont seem set on fighting right now, so you could probably just leave. Or you could try and gather some information on them. There was a small cave behind them. But that was well, behind them. They had a bizarre torso and a very triangular head. They had six spider legs each with three segments, a spider abdomen, and three sharp looking claws on two hands. They usually stand at 3 feet tall, but considering the length of each segment of their legs, they could easily reach 6 feet. If standing as tall as they could. They look like they dont weigh much. In fact, by the way they move, its like they dont weigh anything. Terravore measurements found. Trait Discovered: Weightless |

| -slowed walked towards the cave in a defensive posture no openly hostile but ready to fight if provoked walking towards the cave going around the mas much as possible kpeing most of them to one side as he watched how they moved to see what they were attracted to and if they hated him approaching the cave, wanting to knwo if their vision was based of movement if they were color blind anyhting he can notice about how they see and hear.- |
| Their gazes follow him and as he moved closer, they began growling. They clawed at the ground when they realized that you were approaching the cavern. They began moving toward the entrance to the cavern and climbed the rock with their spider like powers and guarded the entrance. They were hissing, and they for some reason left the cave wide open. They don't seem as stupid as normal spawn do, and they stop hissing as you get even closer. They do however keep watching your every move. Something about the cave feels off. | looks at them and slowly stops moving starting to think about his situation. now either this is their nest, or there is something more scary in there then they even want to see, now i should cut now and leave but what this cave could hold might be worth something big. its a risk but it could be so worth it -he thought hard and slowly began to approach once more watching the spawns closely for any kind of attack or hostile actions |
