First off, it's because of Japanese school system. Since they're starting school years in April and end in March next year, January kids are the youngest. For ex. I'm born in Jan 1992 so in Japan I would be accepted to go with all kids born AFTER March 1991 and thus be the youngest in the class. (which I was during my school days lol tho I don't live in Japan ^^") And now for the years of their birth... they would either be generation 1991, 1990 or 1989. Read this post for "proof". Those are theories but with some things shown in the anime and facts that anime used, we can easily figure out when the anime took place. Hope this helps clear your thoughts ^^ P.S. If we include other characters from Iwatobi and Samezuka, this would look like from oldest to youngest: - Haruka - June 30th - Sousuke - September 14th - Makoto - November 17th - Rin - February 2 (next year) - Nagisa - August 1st - Momotarou - December 6th - Rei - December 14th - Aiichirou - January 4th (next year) (Gou is somewhere in December: http://free-anime.wikia.com/wiki/Gou_Matsuoka) |
