setting up a usb wi-fi at home

i just bought a 3com usb wi-fi adapter and i can't get my ds to connect to the server (when trying to test the connection) although my ds recognizes the adapter.
any help would appreciated :)

using a black DS Lite with a R4(2GB kingston) v1.11.

Well I haven't used a wifi adapter but look if there are any ports that needs to be opened on the router.

Anyway nice to see another R4 User :] (We have the same type of Memory card too ^^)
