No, it reminds me a lot more of Railgun S' opening: "Sister's Noise"

i've have listened to HOTD and Sister's Noise to death and they are not similar to this OP. I can see the similarity (only first few sec) to Sister's Noise.

If you are talking about the 1st opening then of course they sound alike, since they are both made by the same band!

As soon as i heard the guitar shredding and the drums i kind of knew that the song was made by Kishida Kyoudan & The Akeboshi Rockets (one of my fave Japanese rock bands). ^_^
