My opinion of Air as a whole..

Some of this anime was the product of weak storytelling. The double body incarnation of Kanna was dumb and unnecessary. Why not just say Kanna was Misuzu, only she forgot and can't get close due to the curse. Therefore, she's actually Kanna and not a body double whose scarcely relevant to the real girl.

Then there's the whole case with Yukito. His sudden disappearance into the crow made no sense. He died and reincarnated into the crow, but the crow was apparently there the entire time. If you want to call it symbolism, sure, but waste an entire episode on that one gesture, on entirely false scenarios I might add? She couldn't have met the bird and meet Yukito after on the wall. Paradox, reincarnation doesn't present loop holes in the universe's timeline.

Finally, I'd like to state that the Warrior who protected Kanna, (I forgot his name). If people can just reincarnate in this show, instead of forwarding his bloodline into the future, why not just write Yukito as that warrior itself? Sometimes the simpler, the better. Hell, they could have even written the Aunt as Kanna's other friend.

Overall, I'd give this Anime's Story a 6/10.

I really enjoyed my time spent with Yukito. He was a great character and axing him off into the crow didn't sit well with me.

I agree with you. The idea of this story was, at first, good. But the development was awfully senseless.

Yeah, I can also say:
I'm really trying to love Air,
I loved the beginning, the mystical flair and the characters.
But the development of the story in the end is sad and kinda confusing with some lacks of sense.

I don't know what to say to this story.
Letting that side it's a really good one.
