| I've been finishing up Chouyaku Hyakuninisshu: Uta Koi. It's the kind of show in the historical genre that I like. I've never been much into history. But, I like shows that are liberal with the inclusion of historical elements. Stuff like Samurai Champloo, which is even more liberal. Or, shows like Thermae Romae that deal with historical elements I'm more familiar with. |

| "Sword of the Stranger" is a great movie. As for tv series: Basilisk, Rurouni Kenshin, Samurai Champloo, Blade of the Immortal, Shigurui. |

| I don't really follow any of their recommendations anymore lol. They all recommended Honey & Clover to me, and I really disliked it. ah well. |

| I like the list of @Jagan and watched several times except Basilisk. They all're historical action series and for historical romantic series, Emma Victorian Romance would be a perfect fit, I think. |
