| Story opens with a creepy dream that quickly leads to regular school girls daily life making it seem like the girly type of anime - at this point I had already forgotten about the dream and was ready to watch quite long high school scenes. The bunny-cat?thing seems to really want to make the contracts with girls not sure yet what is his reason for it but it doesn't appear to be too good.. even though it is repeated to them to think wise before making a wish that they will exchange to become a Magical girl it also seems that they are constantly being pushed to make the decision faster. Not to mention that Kyubei is starting to act like bitchy school girl plotting best friends against each other. I am yet unsure if the girl's wish dies with her or does it remain past her death. Despite the old looking girly type of art the show itself so far seems to hide a much deeper meaning. I believe I will have to watch it once more to notice all the clues given through the show. Some of the symbols/writing seem familiar and old. The "witch's illusions" appears to be extravagant. Personally I get creepy feeling from the moving scissors. Not sure if the fact that every witches illusion so far seems to have quite the same look holds a meaning or not. To me it looks like Sayaka's did not make her wish purely to help the guy as much as benefiting from it herself. She wants to thanked or looked up, that is why I think she wanted to become Magical girl. |
