hey, any of you fish owners? if so, are you a frequent in any forums?

I started fish keeping on June 2010, i never knew how much work it actually takes to keep an animal alive, needless to say I was very uneducated, so i joined a forum and they basically helped me so much, i learned about the nitrogen cycle ( key element in this hobby ), how to clean the tank, what kind of ingredients to look for in fish food and many other things, if you want to know the forum that i joined, just message me, they are a great help to all fishkeepers and i am proof of it, never in a million years would i think i would stick with this hobby for more than a month

right now i have a:

55g, current stock is:

3 blood parrots
6 julii cories
6 tiger barbs
5 cherry barbs

20g, stock is: ( deciding which of the fish in the 55g to bring down to the 20g )

1 sparkling gourami

three bettas in their own 1.5g tanks

Pontus - male MGRTHM betta - owned for 1 year
Spot - male CT betta - owned for 1 year
Giyo - male CT betta - owned for 1 year

so what do you folks have?

That's a lot of fish. Props to you.

I had two Goldfish but I fed them too much and they died. Sad times.

haha, well i cant say i had my share of bad luck, most of the first timers mistake is the mentality that fish can survive in tap water, which is not true lol, the water has to be treated with a special kind of bacteria that turns ammonia(fish waste) into good bacteria that wont harm the fish, and thats when you start doing water changes =]
