I can't help really help you with this, since, altough I read yaoi, I've never really come across one that takes place at exotic settings.

I searched a little for you though, and maybe this is something you'd like:

You might want to check on yaoi anime's with fantasy? Those may have more detailed, and maybe more exotic, backgrounds.

Mizukami Shin has a lot of military-themed comics similar to Inariya but her series tend to have a lot more porn and really mild abuse/general sexual deviancy lol. A load of her stuff is also exotic-ish if I remember correctly
