I like yanderes because I'm yandere and id want to date a yandere so i can have someone to love me as much as i love them for goddamn once. We love someone 100%. I want that. I want to be on the other end of that. It's not exactly FOREVER but it sure is hard to lose one once you have one. It's annoying being a yandere guy with a flirty deredere gf. I'm pretty sure I drive her insane with how often I threaten bodily harm to her friends. The only bad part of yanderes is how on edge our mental state is. One second its puppies and kitties and the next someones going to die. I lost track of what i was saying....

I love yanderes because loyalty, love, and the aggression.

honestly though most people couldnt handle dating a real life yandere. I'm surprised my gf can deal with my constant stalking and possiveness, but shes also so amazingly non judgmental, loving, kind, and the best person I have ever had the good fortune to meet.

so yeah thats why i like yanderes......

For me it's because I somehow find stalking and obsessive girls irresistibly cute. I guess it's because such acts show their feelings and there is nothing better than knowing you are loved :P

Many reasons but the main reason i guess would be that they give me a sense of nostalgia don't know why though but things that cause a nostalgic feeling are simply too captivating. Pretty sure most of you can understand what I'm talking about by "things that cause a nostalgic feeling are simply too captivating".

I love yanderes because of their devotion to their partner (whether the partner likes it or not). In some ways I just find it really romantic ^^

They have so much emotion and passion! They don't let trivial things get in the way of what really matters either. They are on a whole other level that common folk just can't understand. u / / / u

I always find it interesting how characters can have a sweet personality that they show normally to everyone outside, while inside they carry psychotic urges to violently eliminate their obstacles. In the case of Yangires.

In the case of the Yandere, it is their absolute undying loyalty to one person and how all they want is to be with that one person. To do that they will not let anyone come between the 2 of you, and I have to admit the idea of a person being devoted to you like a Yandere is appealing.

Well, my first horror anime was Elfen Lied, and the main character, Lucy, was an absolutely beautiful protagonist of the series. She hadn't been like any character I any other character I had seen before, I loved her, her backstory, her motivation for chaos and destruction, and everlasting love for Kouta. Thanks to her, I would have never have loved yanderes and yangires so much.

in my opinion only crazy love is real love! :D

and i dont know why all the loved male characters always are such whiny boys. I would be fuckin overjoyed if a girl loves me so much that she loses he mind.

The thing i love about Yanderes and Yangires, are their loyality towards the one they love. They want to do anything in the name of love, to stop anyone trying to get in their way. And you know for sure they love you.

(A little backstory for my reasoning)
I've had a rough time in most of my school, growing up mostly 2-7'th grade. I've been bullied by the people i trusted the most, and didn't have many friends / any for some of the time.
I dont think i will be able to have the trust, to love anyone, because i will be paranoid all of the time, of going back to how it was in most of my school.

That is why a loving and 100% loyal partner i can trust, would be ideal for me.

the concept of yandere/yangire characters is really interesting...

like other ppl in this thread have said, their love is purely devotional and i recently read something that was like "villain's love is worth so much more than a hero's love because heroes can only give so much, they'll always make you number two. villains would burn the entire world down for you." and i thought that was super true... like, don't get me wrong, the concept of yanderes when applied to real life is dangerous and horrifying BUT i love fucked-up fiction and i romanticize everything<3

plus, for me, it's less about them even having an object of affection than about them being allowed to be crazy (though it's still mostly seen as a bad thing, even though it is a trope) bc i just... really like "crazy" people

I love Yanderes because they do not hesitate in conveying their true emotions, are caring, and because they hurt you if you are being a douchebag

They are soo clingy and they truly love the main character. They devote their whole life to the main character and that's just really cute. Also I love being protected and I hate being lonely which I would never be anymore if a yandere stalked me 24/7. I just love being as close as possible to someone<3<3<3<3<3

over time, my enjoyment of this trope has changed because of my change as a person (shocking, I know). When I first fell in love with the trope, it was because I was lonely and had low self-esteem, which is often seen in the characters who are paired with Yanderes, so I was doing as one often does with romances and projecting myself onto a sad sack that resembled kinda how I felt about myself.

Nowadays, I have a much healthier relationship with myself, so my enjoyment of the trope comes from just how fascinating they tend to be in the stories they're employed in. They usually have a different set rules for engagement in any situation, and a separate definition of "success" compared to the rest of groups in their stories. It's an archetype all about juxtaposition, and that's so cool.

Also yeah, it's pretty hot
