Damn, that was one helluva fast episode.  To be honest, I still don't really like the Veyron but the specs are simply ballers. Cruise's two-wheel-fastest-lap-finish was hilarious.  And hell, that old McLaren F1 car... 1200 hp. That just reminded me of how great the 80s were from the motorsport's point of view. 600 hp Group B rallye carsMONSTERS. | Great episode. I used to hate the Veyron, now I just don't like it. That Supersport version sure was impressive though. Mad specs and that vmax was simply unbelievable, just fantastic. The way the Stig thrashed it around the course was almost out of this world, too. Cruise and Diaz were hilarious. Great guests. Tom's two-wheel action was very entertaining to watch, his time of 1:44.2 is gonna be hard to beat. I like him, besides all the scientology crap. I wish he would just completely stop doing that shit. The documentary was well done, great to see respect to great drivers shown in a show like TopGear. |

| Agreed. I don't care for the Veyron either, but watching it go full out was entertaining. Same goes for Stig's crazy fast lap. I knew it was going to be fast, I just didn't expect it to be 1.5 seconds faster than the old one. Cruise and Diaz were a huge surprise that's for sure, especially since Top Gear rarely gets big name guests. It would have been entertaining to see Cruise flip the Kia across the line. The Senna tribute was amazing and also unexpected. Hope to see more like this from Top Gear in future seasons. And finally, the VW/snowmobile race at the beginning was a nice way to top things off. All in all easily the best S5 episode thus far. |
