I always though it was t, no? originally I never bothered to look at those labels at all, but the original volumes were rated t but online it says t+? I was curious why viz make the change (though t+ is more accurate imo). Just curious

It looks like both s1 and s2 in the west are rated pg13. So not R level violence.

@rohan121 Apprently, prime lists it as 16+ with one 18+ episode (I mean mal says kill la kill is pg-13 which is absurd, i don't believe in mal lol. JJK 0 is pg-13 btw, the movie: https://www.filmratings.com/search-results/?search=jujutsu%20kaisen , not R) . Imdb now shows tv-ma as a result.

@mg1109 Click on the "TV-MA", it will give you a more nuanced view on age ratings. Not all streaming services have the same criteria.
For example Crunchyroll here in LATAM they rate it 14+

@mg1109 Why are episodes rated differently? Like who's going to watch only some episodes and skip others because they aren't old enough? Makes no sense.

It doesn't need any age ratings at all, even rating it as teen/13+ is a bad joke.

@eblf2013 Crunchyroll is unusually lax on age ratings for some reason. (my dress up darling, kaiju no8 and tokyo revengers are also 14+). Prime and netflix rated that A16 in brazil for example . Most people watch netflix/amazon prime for causal anime watching, crunchyroll is for hardcore anime fans in general.
