Guy's today morning i watched this film it was freaking mind blowing, the Fight between denji vs typhoon devil was insane πŸ₯Ά, and bomb vs denji too. animation was way better than jjk episode 17 , And the romance was soo beautiful it's been a long time since i saw a very good romantic film, it was one of those.

But the thing is MAPPA and Toho made a mistake releasing this month they should've released it next month it would've been received well, cuz lot's of people watched demon slayer multiple times and forgot about this i mean spent their all money on tht.
This anime definitely deserve's everyone's support it's tht good, it was mind blowing 🀯.
I recommend you guys get a tickets now and watch it at any cost it's worth it .
I've been fallowing the box office of this anime in japan but it didn't received well cuz of DS, it made around only 2+ bln yen. Only fans watched it i guess.

It's One of the best romantic action film 🎦 of all time.

Well, it's no wonder the movie has better quality than an unfinished anime episode. I don't know why people compare anime episodes to movie quality. XD

This is true. The movie is so good, I watched it twice in the cinema, once in 4DX and once in IMAX. The action and soundtrack are something you need to experience on the big screen. For those waiting for the Blu-ray or Netflix release, I highly recommend watching it in cinemas first. Just like Demon Slayer, the Chainsaw Man movie is meant to be enjoyed in theaters. Also, don’t skip the Jane Doe ending song—the movie has an after-credits scene.

It's releasing a month later from where it will get it's majority of income I assume. Also KNY released in Japan earlier I think it's just some asian countries (like India) where it both films have back to back release schedule which in case died down the hype. Bloody shame, it was fucking peak..RezeπŸ›

Idk for all time but up there

Infinity castle's hype in Japan wont settle for months. It did make good money though. We are just comparing the number to Infinity castle which is too high.
If you enjoyed the time you wasted, then its not a waste of time.

But is it as godly animated as the Mononoke Karakasa movie from last year? The bar for movies is insanely high.

@TransferUser im not watching that Momonoke but Chainsaw Man movie basically Romance+Action(JJK+One piece) type of animation. Also soundtrack and song are top tier.

I believe it wouldn’t have mattered anyways. CSM is more niche and wouldn’t have garnered DS or JJK attention anyways. That’s not a bad thing but the overestimating of how a general audience is gonna like CSM should be adjusted.

The numbers are good. I am curious about western countries opening though, but the expectations are much lower than even JJK 0 opening in US. Which again proves the niche point.

I am glad though they treated this better than JJK because damn JJK’s story is trash. I am also glad we got two great anime movies this year from two great franchises. The wait is still almost a month in my country. Hopefully no censorship version or I will be pissed. Also since the movie is much shorter than DS, I guess some people will enjoy it better.

Btw I don’t think the romance in that arc was that good, since it ends way too fast and you realise what’s going on faster than Denji. Add to that, the name and poster spoil the surprise/twist of the movie. So I don’t think it will surprise people story wise, but from the animation and respect they gave to it is enough to gather and make people love it.

I think the problem isn’t just comparing the numbers to DS which is unrealistic, but putting expectations for to be as high as even one piece or JJK or DS.

People and fans of this series need to understand that there are themes in CSM that won’t be liked compared to those series. That’s not a bad thing but putting those expectations that high is why we have people comparing CSM to DS which is like apples and oranges. Which in turn makes one fan from either fanbase say dumb ragebait which will in turn make the fanbase more toxic.

But anyways I rambled way too much lol

@Confused_100 Let's say since this is the beginning of Chainsaw Man generational run for the future seasons or movie (Most likely seasons), they are building this IP very well even though they got a lot of critics from how Season 1 looked. And they are fixing that by making the Movie and make art style change, less compositing or detail but a lot of movement for example: They use Kagenashi (No shadow) quite a lot from the beginning part of the movie.

But for the action is all out for the "budget", I mean we got like top animators that are picked by god who knows the Animation Producer is. Basically what I'm trying to say is that Chainsaw Man is still in the early build up even though it's not what MAPPA expected to be less before it came out the first season. So when the movie came out people are still going to watch it whether it is changed in artstyle and the staff especially the Director aka Tatsuya Yoshihara (Previously Action Director for S1 and Episode Director).

And by some rumors said "It is currently confirmed that the Movie's Director is booked until 2028" which is good based on what I just watched from the movie. Love that Tatsuya is back in his game for the best of the best in the industry right now unlike when he directed Black Clover until episode 152 and not having one single animation producer. Could be that he is the Animation Producer itself lol for this Movie.

Anyways I'm just yapping all out lol.

@Confused_100 Yes CSM is more niche than your average viewer or watcher of an anime. Now that I think of it after watching the movie, it felt like it's not a Shounen Anime but little more like Seinen Anime Movie. I agree that the numbers are still good but not just the number but the amount of people that is loving the manga like Kenshi, the animators especially HoneHone which he was doing fan animation cuts in his 2020 era and now he actually remastered that cut and make it into the movie lol that's crazy.

The amount of love Tatsuki Fujimoto or Chainsaw Man atleast as a manga or an anime is amazing. Even though still there are people who are not like that mostly but good to know that everyone who is working in Chainsaw Man adaptation or anything like that is passion enough to make it look the best of the best.

That’s actually great. We are gonna get the treatment S2 deserves then.

Yeah I believe it. The second half is where my excitement lies lol. CSM romance has always been weird to me more than romantic, maybe it’s my perspective though.

Exactly CSM is more in the realm between Seinen and Shounen. Because of it using some shounen troupes and twisting them is what makes it shounen
