So a lot of episode are fillers but I have heard that the anime is not completely canon to the manga. So yeah the simple question is should I watch the fillers?

Filler is usually good in Sailor Moon but I’d still recommend watching the canon episodes first. You should probably look up an essential episodes guide so you can choose what to watch and what to skip.

yeah the filler episodes are fun and you kinda learn more about the characters' personalities but if you get easily tired of the "monster of the week" system, you should check a guide to skip the fillers

I checked it up and 200 episodes and 98 fillers. 49% filler. I think I skip I will the fillers but watch the mixed canon-filler episodes. Fillers can be good but that is really up to the person. For me, fillers can be good. I remember watching the first Naruto filler arc and I enjoyed arc but it was hard to ignore the fact that it didn't connect to the story. It was the end that left a bad taste. The anime just ignored the fact that this filler arc exists. But maybe thats only because it doesn't. The feeling of time wasted is frustrating. So if the fillers don't add up to the story then I am not going to watch them. Ofcourse it bad to compare a shounen to a shoujo, but knowing toei, I think I will just skip them. The only good fillers I know are from Pokemon and Gintama.

If you only want the story, why not watch Crystal instead? The "filler" episodes are a lot of fun and add a lot to the depth, making non-filler episodes more meaningful.

Is crystal better than the original? I watched the first episode of this version yesterday and really liked it. The opening, animation, art-style, transformation, Usagi's voice (japanese). And then saw that it has a lot of fillers. If the fillers are same as Naruto fillers then I will not watch them.

Sailor Moon is like the only anime I know the fillers made better. Crystal just followed the plot of the manga, so the pacing was pretty fast, and you couldn't really care about the characters.

You don't have to watch the filler, but most fans of the 90s anime say they like the filler. If the thought of sitting through 200 episodes repulses you, it means your taste is different and you're better off watching Crystal.

Is the crystal better than the original fillers ignored? I don't hate the idea of watching 200 episodes. It is actually better to have a lot of episodes but only if they matter. But I like the idea of watching 98 episodes of nothing. Watching the first Naruto filler arc left a bad taste for me so I don't want to watch I even a single episode of nothingness. I only anime that have good fillers are Pokemon and Gintama. Pokemon because the adventure part matters more than the progess in story and the anime doesn't adapt the game 1:1. Gintama because it is comedy and character interaction is the main focus.

Jeśli chcesz to możesz obejrzeć fillery. Przecież nikomu nic nie zrobiły. Najwyżej sobie pograsz albo przeszukasz internet, bo jakiś losowy gość (czyli ja) da każdmu z Was tu zebranych takie małe wyzwanie. To będzie proste pytanie: Czy ktoś z Was pamięta jeszcze Cutie Honey?

i think crystal doesnt have any filler as it is a more straightforward adaptation of the manga. i havent yet watched crystal myself but some fans think (including me) thag the animation doesnt look good in crystal s1, i guess it gets better in the next seasons. also maybe in crystal the characters are more bland due to no filler ?

when comparing 90s sailor moon fillers in s1-s3, i think s1 was "hardest" to watch for me lol because it got kinda repetitive but s3 (sailor moon s) filler episodes were so much fun. but the 90s series animation is so pretty so i decided to watch all the 200 episodes

you can watch just the crystal seasons but if you want more goofing around stuff, then i recommend the 90s version. and you get to see really crazy designs of random villains haha

I don't know this language but I just translated it using google translate. From what I know, cutie honey was the first anime to have a magical girl transformation. It was written by Go Nagai. He pioneered ecchi and mecha. He also created devilman (I love it) which inspired berserk. He is a great man. I haven't watched cutie honey but I will. It is a sci-fi ecchi instead of being a magical girl anime tho. I hate ecchi in anime but I will definitely watch it but right now watching other anime including sailor moon.

Rozumiem.

@repsikka I have tried Crystal TWICE. And dropped it TWICE. It just feels soulless to me. Also, too fast. I think the fillers actually help in the OG.

You should look up a recommended filler guide online, some character development fillers are worth watching but overal the fillers are bad and make the show twice as long.

I think the fillers are better than the canon story for the original 1992 series, hahah.

Skip the filler and you miss out on a majority of the show. it's a monster of the week show, so most episodes don't advance the plot
