In the leadup to the finale, Talulah's background got explained as she wasn't always this psycho that she is now. She was originally from a remote village in the land of the ice and snow. She was loved and respected by her people and she ran Reunion as a community, but everything changed when Alina was killed, all while it turns out that she has been manipulated by Duke Kashchey, her adoptive father.
And with that, it's onto the final battle as Amiya and Ch'en face off against Talulah with Chernobog about to approach Lungmen. The two managed to knock some sense into Talulah, and in the end Talulah was freed from Kaschey's influence, and then W finishes the job as she puts in the shutdown code to prevent a crisis. The key she had didn't work, but Talulah had the real key that she gave W to complete the shutdown. After that, Talulah is arrested and is revealed to be Ch'en's half-sister with the promise that she will be judged fairly and be returned once that's done. So with that, Talulah realizes all the horrible things she did, but she wisened up and is determined to make things right, and as such she has everybody's blessings as she has a long road ahead to redemption, but she's being given the chance and among those things is putting a stop to Kashchey's sinister scheme. And thus, this season ends after episode 8 in the game with there being 12 to date.
Final Thoughts
Once again, this show's strength comes from the story writing, the artwork, and the character development, but is bogged down by confusing storytelling and being overly complex that it's a show that's better watched in marathon fashion rather than weekly since there are just so many things to remember and characters to keep track of. That said, this season's story is better than that of the first two seasons, and it's largely because of Talulah's character development as her backstory and stuff made the leader of Reunion the most intriguing character of the series so far. So in all, this show continues to be good for something adapted from a mobile game, but it's one that requires a lot of attention seeing that it's hard to keep track of things once again.
