| Episode 6 Knowing the dangers that lie ahead, Klen and company head out and spend a night in a village not knowing that they were secretly being watched by Maynard. With Clevatess having decimated Hiden, Boelate is looking to seize all the resources of the fallen kingdom, but standing in their way is Luna. Maynard just so happens to have found Luna with his swarm of insects, and surrounds the town with his bugs, slaughtering all those who are in it, all while Drel's other henchman Naie attacks Nelluru and Luna in their room. So with that, Boelate has struck as Alicia reveals that Drel murdered her father even though he had laid down his sword for good. |

| Episode 7 Alicia and Nelluru manage to get away as Nelluru has super strength that got her out of Naie's magnetism trap, but with Maynard's bugs surrounding the place that they can't get away from town. While that's going on, Rod, the great grandson of Royes, fights Drel, and while he reduced his army with that frozen river attack, Drel has a Regalia weapon that quickly turns the tables. And then Klen shows up as Clevatess to kill Drel, but in doing so he activated his trap where he gets imprisoned by Drel's blood. Quite a dangerous foe everybody is dealing with as Drel is no ordinary guy and was well prepared to take on a demon lord, giving up everything in order to bring one down. |
| I almost thought Drel had a good point about stopping the futility of using heroes to fight the dark beasts, considering Clevatess is on the verge of destroying all humans because of the futility of the heroes, but seems like Drel doesn't want to stop fighting the dark beasts, he just wants to use magic fused with the regalia to fight them. |
| Honestly the villains are becoming the weakest part of the show now. They're all pretty generic. Especially bug guy who is just Default Crazy Anime Villain #23. I was hoping Klen would just impale Drel a second time straight from the sphere. |
| Villain #1 introduces himself, explain his life story, explains his insects. Villain #2 introduces herself, explains her life story, explains the history of her magnetic powers. Villain #3 makes pleasant small talk with regalia wielder who also engages in small talk despite everyone behind them fighting. Who the fuck just stands around talking this much like they're best buds? You're here to kidnap a child or kill people. Just do that? Also, considering Drel just said "Here i have a trump card that can deal with you." Then proceeds to do that thing over 10 seconds. Meanwhile Clevatess just sits there with his tail inside Drel's body, making no movement at all. You could literally rip him in half or pierce his brain in 0.1 seconds. So just do that? Last two episodes have been fucking painful. Easily dropped my rating two stars since basically only two things happened last episode (he runs off and they go to an inn, literally). |

| Episode 8 Just when it looked like the villagers would take care of Alicia and Nelluru on Maynard's behalf, the innkeeper Mark decides to talk things out instead and decides to help them after seeing that Alicia challenged Clevatess and lost. But Maynard has surrounded the place literally everywhere, from the hornets surrounding the place to the wood-eating larvae in the forests, the ants on the ground, and the spiders sneaking up on her to numb her senses. But in the end, she just needed her Regalia as that sword slices water, and these bugs are mostly water. So with that, Maynard has been dealt with, but Drel is lurking seeing that he has been possessed by a dark beast, which explains why he trapped Clevatess, but Klen managed to escape to assist Alicia. That was some pretty intense nightmare fuel, but all Alicia needed was her Regalia sword that conveniently takes care of all those pests. |
| Looks like Clevetass is still trapped in the bubble, but has separated a part of himself to be Klem. Basically the Trump Card is sealed until they can free his main body. |

I'm guessing she wants to question him. One of Clevatess' main goals right now is to learn about magic so I can see wanting to keep him alive for that. And for anything he might be able to tell them about Drel.She also should have killed him. Why knock him out and leave him alive? You'll just end up fighting him again later.

| Episode 9 With Drel on the attack, the queen of Hiden, T'ala Mort goes into battle as Drel invades Hiderat. Meanwhile, Naie is captured, and it turns out that she is unaware of Drel's dark ichor and grand scheme as all she was told was to capture Luna, and with another dark lord beast involved between Zavthier, Rathwell, and Vordin, that changes things. Naie escapes and tries to kidnap Luna and Nelluru, but that was part of the plan as with the iron wheels, Naie's power gives everybody a lift to Hiderat. The party arrives in Hiderat and Alicia engaged with Drel, while Klen goes after the king's forge that requires royal blood to open. And so, the battle to take down the diabolical general once and for all is on, but it's going to be a tough one seeing that they are fighting one of hte other dark lord beasts along with Drel, and the key to winning lies beyond that gate that Luna just opened. |

| Episode 10 After seeing Clevatess captured and a warning from Zavthier, Gart and Rod join the battle in Hiderat against Drel. While Luna is royalty, he can't open the forge, so Klen decides to enter it from above, something no orderinary person or demon could do, but it turns out the king is still alive somehow even though he was decapitated. And then Alicia battles Drel with Drel telling the story about her father Margo. It turns out that Drel and Margo were friends who trained together, and Margo got a Regalia after beating Drel in a tournament with the power to absorb the power of the first thing it slays. Margo decided to swing for the fences by slaying the demon king Vordin, but he died in doing so all because he tripped on a pebble in the snow. Drel was entrusted with the Regalia and slayed Vordin that got him the title of Dragon Slayer. That's what got him to believe that being a hero was meaningless and thus, he became a conquerer. So it turns out that Alicia's father wasn't exactly blameless here seeing that he got too cocky and wanted to take on a Demon King, but now that power he sought to wield is now about to become a problem his daughter will need to deal with. |

| Episode 11 As it turns out, everything about this world is a fake that was being controlled by a tome that lies in the center of the forge, and that humanity perished a long time ago. Seeing the headless king so willing to sacrifice his child to the forge was all the proof that Klen needed to realize this truth. As for Drel, he's really Vordin who uses dark ichor to take on Drel's appearance as Alicia would find out when he and Royes fought together to find out that he's no longer human. So in all, this whole legend about the hero is all fake. One more episode left as everything is about to be destroyed. |

| Are they planning to wrap up the story in a single season? I can see either wrapping up the story next week, or leaving us with a huge cliff hangar. Either way, this has been probably the best non-sequel show of this season. |
| a season of anime seems to cover around 3 books for most LN series. Clevatess seems to be around 10 volumes and is still ongoing as I understand it. I figure we will get something of an end with a "to be continued" rider attached to it. |
| Episode 12 (Season 1 Finale) The battle concludes as Klen takes the Book of Toah, while Alicia defeats Drel by going after his Regalia. Having destroyed the blade, Drel disintegrates as his body is made of dark ichor, and just like that the Boelate army retreats. And then Luna walks back to his mother on his own two feet. And with that, the war is over with Drel gone, but Vordin remains at large as the Demon King has some ominous parting words. Having helped protect Luna and returned him to the kingdom, T'ala grants Klen one things he wants, and he chooses to become the kingdom's magic teacher. So with that, the show comes to an end having uncovered a giant mystery and saving the kingdom from a huge threat, and it was quite fitting. But there's a lot more story to tell as Klen would say there at the end that this is only the beginning, and indeed it is. Final Thoughts This show does a nice job with putting together a story that's simple, yet effective, all while doing just right amount of character development and putting emphasis on intrigue as without it, this show doesn't amount to anything. While the show has a strong story, the production values are on the iffy side as the animation quality was inconsistent and the art style doesn't appeal to everybody. So in all, it's a show that has a well-written story that doesn't attempt to do anything overly complex as it didn't need to, but could have had better production values and animation to make this show even better. Grade: B+ (8/10) |

| 2nd season is confirmed and judging from the uniforms and a disguised Alicia, it looks like a School Arc. I guess if Klem is going to be the King's Magic teacher he needs to learn magic first. |
| Hmm, the book(s) seem to be kind of like the Rings of Power. I was wondering if the key art for next season showed Alicia with that dog nose thing the people of that kingdom have, and the post credits scene confirms it. This was definitely the best new series of this season (well, of the ones I watched, I haven't watched any of Gachiakuta yet, which is supposedly good) 8/10 |

| I'm bummed with the latter episodes of the show: It's been so talkative with Clevatess doing so much monologue, and the Insect chapter also felt a bit rushed, or at least softened, with how the villagers was made to be too nice and immediately supported Alicia, and with the villain being simply a stupid psycho. But at least they gave the Main Villain a satisfying punishing end. Overall, it's one of the most unique Anime offerings in recent memories. I greatly appreciate the art style, and quite like the OP. The world setting and the lore were quite interesting. Alicia also manages to be a proper underdog, being so disadvantaged every time despite having a very OP advantage: Auto-Heal and Revival. xD 7.5/10 for me. |
