He tried to, but Kana too goated for that(survives attempted character assasination)

Nah, Kana's characterization, good or bad, is consistent throughout ONK

I'm wondering, does this fandom like how Akasaka handled Kana's character?

Re-does the same character arc he already started her for in the Sweet Today arc and expanded on and finished in the 2.5D Stage Play arc. Re-does this arc in the Scandal arc btw, where Kana is questioning herself and also wondering why she is an idol(which he alr did in the First Concert arc) and an actor.

Makes it so Kana has a hard time finding jobs and an actor even though she's the face of B-Komachi(on paper) in the Scandal arc. B-Komachi explodes after the second timeskip so it's really illogical that Kana doesnt get that much work. She should be as popular or even more than Akane at this point(who is really popular after the second timeskip).

Gets saved by Aqua again in the Scandal arc. Even after Aqua helps in the Sweet Today arc, saves her in the First Concert arc and helps her again in the 2.5D Stage play arc(should have been the last time that happened). What happened to Kana becoming Aqua's star? Kana even says she'll persevere despite the hate and doesnt need Aqua's help. Just for him to save her. Again. At least we got that amazing plot twist out of it.

The worst of it, Kana never even gets to tell Aqua how she feels due to that awful ending. And he gives her like 3 pages to grieve. You'd think the man that made Ai Hoshino would know how to write death, when he's done it so amazingly before.

Its a shame too cuz he writes her so masterfully from the Prologue arc to the 2.5D Stage Play arc. Only to redo character arcs he's already done for her as well as just make her suffer. Especially when everyone had everything going for them, Kana was js out there struggling. At least he doesnt make her fully regress like he did with Aqua💔

Over the whole Course of both the Anime and the Manga she just annoyed me all the time. She was never able to be honest with her Feelings never had any Importance in the whole Main Plot.
