This show is a weird mixture of complete trash with some rather cool space opera.
I was thinking right along these same lines. This ep started badly, then got entertaining for a while, then ended with that complete mess of an action sequence.

if their house is so in debt, where is he getting the money to buy hundreds of ships? Why would a podunk noble need hundreds of ships?

@HOOfan_1 I think they used to be in debt, but he's pulled them out of that. Or, I guess I should say, his android pulled them out of that. However, his parents so thoroughly ruined his family's credit rating that no one is willing to extend him any credit without a guarantor.

If you go back to ep. one I think his whole plan for his new life was to be 'the evil lord of a galactic empire,' hence the need for warships.

I am guessing the numbers are so outrageous for comedic affect. They said something like 7 thousand warships for him and 70,000 warships at the Imperial training section.

I only gave this one a chance because i've seen the source material. That cringefest mecha battle in space was so offputting i would easily have dropped it before the actual content started. Why do anime feel the need to put future content at the start? They did this with solo leveling as well.

I don't like that we already saw his future self destroying all those ships, commanding a huge fleet and acting how he was. The title already gives the end away, but that flash forward completely locks us in to a specific outcome and destroys any kind surprise or suspense factor.

Exactly. It just spoils any kind of intrigue about where we're headed and was completely missing from the original source, thankfully.

Now i'm caught up. It does flip very fast between serious and comedy, similar to "Trapped in a Dating Sim...". I'm enjoying it though and not seeing anything major missing. Usually misunderstandings i find quite cliche and annoying but not so much here. Actually the cringelord posturing in the mecha in the opening episode was probably the most offputting thing so far.

That was a decent episode. His expectations of a harem being completely different in every way from what he was expecting was pretty good. He can't even sexually harass the staff without them being OK with it already. lol

Surrendering is the same as letting them wipe out your entire planet/army and not just losing your life, being tortured for 100s of years.

A good chunk of this episode felt like it they were just putting the show in a holding pattern.

I kept waiting for the blonde to show up but she never did.

@zkeleton We have to layer in some more levels of "but human women, my lord" and "he's my hero" before they actually meet.

I like that all the military guys are drawn in that old 80's sci-fi anime style. And also that they mentioned if you're close enough to see the enemy ships it's basically like being in hand to hand combat range.

Idk why 'the guide' doesn't just go around collecting all the bad feelings from the people Liam stomps into the ground? He doesn't seem very smart.

Turned out fairly good in my opinion. Kinda sad that shows like this get one cour and absolutely generic garbage gets two cours.

I don't remember the age-regression technology being mentioned before; kinda threw me for a loop with all the numbers they were throwing around there. Wonder if he'll be any taller by the time he's 50?

Still, that wraps things up, the show had some pretty good space battle sequences, and although the humor was often lame, I didn't mind it. An okay anime, though I'd completely forgotten about the isekai aspect. Other than an initial motivation, it hardly seemed worth mentioning.

Just slightly better than meh. Had some good parts, but it always seemed to ruin those with something awful. 6/10

So many failed opportunities. The women whose bodies were brought back to life and who are now working for him should be become the harem he wnated. They were grateful for what he had done and it would have fit into the tone of the show to see him in the big pool with all the girls and him saying this was what he was talking about.

He shoujld have gotten his maid/assistant out of the maid clothes. In the credits you see her in a bikini, that should have been worked into the story line.

All in all just some light hearted fun. 6.5/10

@LouieGrandie The rest of the rescued women would probably fit into the next season, if it gets one.
