So as it asked in the title, was this season rushed or was it close to the source material? Forget the public audition original ending change. Just overall, were many arcs or big moments skipped? If something big was skipped, please give me some short spoilers if possible.

@Cawambar Sometimes it's the same with the novels, it's happened before. So you never know unless you have read it. That's why I am asking.

Yes it was. But its not as worse as the 3rd Movie.

Many important scenes were cut in season 3. Like the argument scene between Reina and Shuichi, the scene where Shuichi calms Kumiko down, the scene where Shuichi confessing his love again after the national competition, and more.

But considering KyoAni's condition, I don't really mind it. Season 3 is very good, although not as good as the novel. And the change in ending in the anime made me like it even more.

You don't need to look at the novels to realize it was rushed. Kumikos first year got 27 episodes while her last year got only 13. It's still alot better than that awful movie but yeah you could really feel how most characters got barely any time to develop compared to the first 2 seasons.

Did you know any of the changes between the novel and anime, like missing arcs etc ?

Should've taken it up as a warning before rewatching everything again. God this was disappointing I would've been completely fine with this series just ending at season 2 and Liz

I wouldn't have minded to wait another year for this if it had been a faithful adaption. Or if they split the remainder of the books in two seasons.
Unfortunately the LN will never be translated either.
