Why they change the VA cast and the art style? The doctor was better with the old art style and they made almost everyone look cute but it ruined them instead ,And a new character? Who’s her? And they do a flashback here and there with changing how it was in the first season, and the first season ended when they went to the city where they saw the hero who was like he had been isekaied why they started this season with him remembering what happened when he was isekaied , which one’s adaptation is better this season or the first one and which one’s art style is fitting the source cuz i might drop this chaos.

@TEMPEST_1 I feel the same way... because I spent time rewatching the entire first season. We'll have to wait and see what happens...

Most probably, war shenanigans of the producers.

The 1st Season adapted the Original Light Novel, whereas this one is following the Manga. The characters design and details of the story was changed to be faithful to the Manga version. As for the cast, there probably was a problem with their contract (maybe too pricey for the producers ?). Aside of the general director, character designer and sound director, all the staff was changed too.

@Zero_r2 I don't read the manga as I hated the designs for the original and the new Retry R print, but doesn't this follow all the mannerisms of Retry R manga? The designs are based off it and the way Hakuto acts or reacts is the same...The first season was actually poor quality and other issues, but it nailed the character behavior, mannerisms, dynamics, etc. perfectly. They really captured the characters' identities accurately. This version seems to do the same w/ nailing the manga behavior and personalities right

Mal user really don’t fw this series it’s gone below a 6 rating. The thing that annoys me the most is even though it wasn’t the greatest when it came out years ago I still enjoyed it a lot I’m only sticking with it cause now the flashback are over I think

@sjydude201 It had been a long time since I read the novel and the manga... then after reading your comment I went back and reviewed everything. You are indeed right! The character designs follow the line of reasoning of the manga. So the anime had followed a different design, which by the way hit the nail on the head with what the public wanted at the time... So what was contrary was good, and what was right according to the manga became bad.
Anyway; sorry to take up your time, dear friend. But I thank you for your clarifications about the work, because it structured many thoughts.

While it could have been, from Episode 3 onward the story simply continue.
The 2 first Episodes were just somewhat of a recap. So yeah, it is not a Remake.

They took something watchable, and made a sequel thats vanilla animation styled, trope-by-the-book ,lackluster fan service in the most unnappetizing presentation that if i wasnt so disgusted and upset at the incontinuity and waste of time getting into the story and style, would be as instantly forgettable as the toilet paper i wiped my @$$ with this morning.Bet that of i hadnt hone and watched the 1st season first id probably have never thought of it again 10 sec after leaving the qst episode in the trash can.

Couldn't even make it half-way through the first episode.

WTF is this shit?

I think the worst part is, they're telling the same story as the first season, but more incompetently. And this also serves as a good example of what happens when a complete moron is in charge of a project. I MIGHT watch it when the whole season is done airing, so I can skip past most of it fast, sure as hell am not interested in watching it week by week now.

I guess the "R" stands for Retarded edition.

I've liked the first season for quite some time. Didn't even know they were making a second, till it popped up. Now I wish I never knew there was a second season, especially after episode 6. I think the studio needs to apologize to everyone for not only ruining season 2 but for destroying my good memories of season 1. How could someone create such a dog show.
