Chapter 1. The Anime more or less adapted up to around Chapter 200, but you should read from the beginning.



Because. We know that there was censorship involved due to the themes, the staff really liked the Manga and didn't just wanted to put it into animation (thus doing a real work of adaptation with the stories), and they were experimenting a few things. Unless there is an interview somewhere, you'll never know exactly why.

As for adapting the last Chapters, that is not for them to decide, but to the producers. Maybe it wasn't doing much money at that point, or that the publisher refused it, especially as the Manga ended not too late after.
