| Solo levelling anime B: it was a decent watch with good fights + I genuinely don't recall the last time I enjoyed an op MC trope W: it felt rushed Claymore manga B: is basically berserk with women and I love that + it has one of the best female cast I've seen W: the story felt a little stretched and return made no sense at all |

| Anime: Ginga Tetsudou 999 Best: memorable and distinctive characters with good storytelling. Worst: putting aside the dated animation quality of the production, the series was 113 episodes, which I confess some exasperation with when I tell you that the movie, which clocks in at a mere 2 hours by comparison, covers all of the major points of interest clearly and succinctly. It was an incredible investment of time over the past couple of months and truth be told, the movie was probably more accessible than the show will ever be to a modern audience. Manga: Buchou Shima Kousaku Best: interesting and realistic characters who engage in all sorts of scandalous affairs, maintaining a mature comedic undertone throughout the adventures of a salaryman working his way up the ladder of corporate bureaucracy. Worst: repetitiveness of themes used, though the series scratches an itch for me that few others have even outside of manga and anime, so I give it an unobjective pass. |
