We just spent numerous episodes demonstrating that skill > level but Arthur is having trouble with Psyger? Stalker girl most definitely does not have pro gamer reflexes on level with Arthur. We just watched Arthur dodge all sorts of crap while level debuffed for several episodes but she gets clipped by Stalker girl? |

| Episode 19 With that, history has been made in SLF as Sunraku, Pencilgon, and Oikatzo are the first to defeat a unique monster after taking down Wethermon. As for Setsuna at the grave there, it turns out it's just a replica to help Wethermon find peace, and the next order of business it to seek Bahamut. While it's known as an extremely destructive dragon in the Final Fantasy universe, in this setting it's a big mystery. So with Wethermon's defeat, the story advances and after summoning Psyger-0 to take out Orcelott and the remnants of Ashura Kai that the infamous PK party is no more. Pretty much, this episode is all about tying loose ends from that raid battle to transition into the next adventure as now those three are famous in the SLF community. |

| Episode 20 Wethermon being defeated sent quite a lot of shockwaves seeing that he wasn't expected to be the first unique monster defeated. That has the development team at Utopia scrambling, and it was amusing to see what their reactions were to everything that just happened as an unorthodox player like Sunraku doesn't come around everyday. So with the raid over, everybody goes their separate ways with Pencilgon seeking Bahamut, Sunraku back in Rabbituza to get some more intel from Vash, and Katzo back playing the game the way he did before the raid. While Sunraku has some big power-ups from the raid, he needs to find the weapons to use them, and unfortunately he got a lot of items he can't use thanks to that curse from Lycagon. And speaking of which, he's going to fight that unique monster again soon. Good to see the development team making an appearance since they were caught off-guard by all this. |
| Episode 21 Sunraku, Pencilgon, and Katzo reconvene as we finally get to see Katzo's player IRL, and while he does look like a girl, he's a dude. This episode is pretty much just a round table meeting between the three as they form a new party called Wolfgang. And they talk about the scale and how it can't change ownership unless it's done willingly. But their chat ends when somebody comes in as by defeating that unique monster, they have become quite famous around the SLF community, and it's a good thing that game chased after Sunraku, who can just go to Rabbituza to run away. That was a rather amusing process there how Oikatzo came up with his user name and how despite being a guy with a female avatar that IRL he doesn't look too much different. |

| Episode 22 And the preparation continues for Sunraku's rematch with Lycagon that will come in season 2 as he's looking to get even stronger weapons. But for that to happen, Bee will need to increase her skill level as a blacksmith, all while Sunraku will need to get his hands on a rare item. So after updating his respawn point in Rabbituza, it's off to get that weapon with Bee and Emul tagging along. And to make sure that nobody suspects that a couple of cute bunnies are tagging along, Bee turns herself into a fluffy scarf for Sunraku to wear. And seeing that Sunraku leveled up quite a lot since the last time that a good number of monsters aren't attacking due to Lycagon's curse. Then they come across the rare monster with that item Sunraku is after, the dullahan. Just like with the battle against Wethermon, the key is to knock him off his horse and that's exactly what happens. So after defeating that monster, Bee has increased her level quite a lot and now has the skill level needed to craft that weapon Sunraku desires. Great to see Bee getting in on the action there as she has what it takes to be as great a blacksmith as Vash is. |

| @runec I think that's just how they often do this Dullahan stuff. I think I remember Celty from Durarara also being shown on a carriage pulled by headless horses at some point in that Anime. EDIT: Seems like it's not 'often' presented like that. I did a quick Googling of Dullahan and I only see a few Headless Horse versions. |

| Episode 23 After defeating the dullhan, Sunraku and his rabbig companions square off against a lich, and Sunraku doesn't have any holy atttribute weapons. But just leave it to Bilac to turn the weapon the Dullhan dropped into one with a holy attribute. And after activating skill that consumes HP Sunraku defeats that thing. After that, onto Eightfold where the rabbits return to Rabbituza, while Sunraku is back at the Canyon of Ancient Souls for more, this time tackling the crystal scorpions as preparations for the rematch against Lycagon continue, which would happen in a second season if it does get it. |

| Episode 24 Now that the rabbits are back in Rabbituza with his respawn point updated there, Sunraku is going gung-ho determined to collect rare items from defeating scorpions. But not only are they tough, but they attack in numbers and that's bad news for Sunraku. But he did manage to score some loot there as thanks to Inventoria, he can collect as many as he can without being weighed down by it, and he does so by having those scorpions attacking each other by luring them in and teleporting at the last second. But that last drop, he was woefully out of position as the RNG did him no favors. He sure died many deaths there, but it was all worth it in the end. |
| Seems like this show is just going to peter out instead of having some sort of meaningful end point. I'm impressed he managed to forget literally the only thing he knew about the crystal scorpions: That they swarm. |

Too much time was wasted in the show, for example WeatherMOM. 2 episodes to plan the battle, 3 episodes to fight the battle (jusy to show off SFX). Interesting characters are left in the dust. Where is the rl wannabe girlfriend? The MC becomes OP due to plot. to be honest; I am now wondering why I kept watching the show. |

I should have seen the warning signs in the early shows,m but it was new, stupid and fun. It's lost all that, but stupid. I also dislike the morlity of the show. It's okay to be stupid and take risks as long as you get what you want. I wonder if there is a warning shown right before it airs? I'd not be surporised if there was. As I told @RMikami, that the things I thought were interesting were left in the dust. The MC is OP for no good reason than PLOT. | @runec Unless they do something super amazing and surprising; then I am through with the show. All the things that was cute in the show is gone or regulted to opening doors (Emul). To begin with; I am NOT a shonen fan. That shit gets older faster than milk left out of the refigerator. So I am betting that I say adieu to the show after the finale and will grade it apporpirately. |

| I don't get why you guys think he's an ass. It's a video game and he's treating it like a video game. A big part of the fun in games is collecting loot and figuring out ways to use your abilities and magic items in the most effective ways. Anyway, I think the last few episodes have been pretty good. Better than most of the Weathermon stuff. And the way he's actually using his brain to overcome challenges is a breath of fresh air after Solo Leveling's 'me get mad, me defeat monster' ass pull. |

| Episode 25 (Season 1 Finale) To end this season, Sunraku shows off the spoils that he died so many times to acquire to Bilac, and unfortunately Bilac can only make accessories with it. But she knows someboy else who can make better use of the materials in Aramiys from Cazzeria, though she doesn't exactly have a great relationship with this hyperactive Puss in Boots. So Sunraku takes a break, ignores messages from Katzo and Pencilgon requesting a meet-up IRL, and goes back into the game where he decides to explore Eighthold with Aramiys and others, but runs into a magical girl who saw right through his disguise, and is actually a male player known as the Professor. The Professor wants to uncover the secrets of SLF and wants somebody who defeated Wethermon to help him out. So with that, the first season ends, and it won't be long before the second season as it's coming this fall. Final Thoughts This is a fresh new perspective of playing VRMMORPG games as the MC is masochist for trash games trying his hand at a god-tier game, and plays the game in a reckless and unorthodox manner that makes this show so full of intrigue. The show has a great plot, interesting characters, nice storytelling, and an inviting atmosphere that all make this one of the better shows this season. That said this show has a couple of big problems in that the plot really drags, especially with the Wethermon arc as while it was important, it could have been done with fewer episodes, and that the MC can be quite a handful to put up with. I would have liked to see more happening IRL, but there's another season coming for all that. In all, a nice show, but one that can really go off the rails at times. Grade: B+ (8/10) |
| I quite liked Ignoramus' design and oddly didn't find his character too annoying either. That was an odd way to end a season, but it just makes it crystal clear they have no intention of stopping here. |
| Okay, that was a pullback on the Sunraku assholeness. When it's funny, WHEN, it is a bit humorous. But, it is very annoying at times too. Still, I'll give the show a C (7/10) rating. |

| I'm so glad they used the final episode to introduce an incredibly obnoxious gag character. It was just what the show needed. Another 6/10 for the season. Mainly because the fight scenes were good even if the show dragged out the Weathermon arc *forever*. |
| Damn! I didn't even realize that was the last episode for this season. I was thinking while watching that they're really dragging the episode out so they could do setup stuff for the last episode and turns out... this was it. Having that Lore-Studying Clan stuff to start the next season might help make things feel different and interesting since it will finally not be limited to Rabituza and Boss fights. Sunraku having to deal with the unwanted attention from the community for the majority of S2 would be a breath of fresh air. I'm pretty sure S2 will still have that same approach of having the characters deal with just one issue per episode so, I'm not that excited for it. But hey, it's watchable. And they do put much effort during climax battles so, I'd still likely watch it but without taking any of the mechanics they set up seriously anymore. I'll just ride its flow next time. 6/10 for me. |
