So I just finished reading this manga last night and I wish I had stopped reading at chapter 64.

Why should you not continue you ask? Have you ever heard of the saying that ignorance is bliss? Well ignoring chapters 65-69 truly is bliss in this case.

Don't make the same mistake as me. Stop at chapter 64. Consider it the end and be happy with it. Is it an abrupt ending? Yes. Is it the best possible outcome for everyone involved? Absolutely! Am I gatekeeping here? Perhaps...

For me personally I am choosing to ignore anything that happens after chapter 64. For me chapter 64 is the true ending and what lies beyond is an alternative route (yes, I am treating this like a visual novel now).

Not convinced? Well, I'll admit just telling you to trust me on this isn't a very compelling argument...

Alright, how about I give you vague spoiler of what's to come? Then at least you know what to expect:

Still not convinced? If you are concerned about missing out on what happens in chapters 65-69 I can give you a summary instead (obviously it's gonna have more detailed spoilers) but maybe it will help you with your decision:

Yeah I felt the same way too. Chapter 65 was a straight punch to the gut.

Over all it was bittersweet and enjoyed it.

What a ride.

I liked the ending, it suits the theme and message of the manga. Bittersweet and emotional ending, I felt like tears were coming from my eyes. It's your call, though, if you want chapter 64 as your canon ending. To each their own. Solid 8 manga, impactful, and emotional.
Just as pure oxygen is harmful to the body, the naked truth has the power to destroy men's minds. Only by diluting it with lies and taking it in small doses can humans maintain a healthy soul.

i agree but i didn't dislike it because it was sad but because of how utterly pooly executed it was. don't get me wrong i would have much preferred a happy ending as well. The way it was handled and how quick it was (literally 3 chapter build up) didn't make it feel impactful and made it me have a bitter taste in my mouth. It felt like a betrayal to Haru's character as well since he literally just found a reason to live a couple chapters before.

The ending is shit. It was a shock twist for the sake of a shock twist. Edgy as heck. Author should grow up.
