Why this show has that weird triangle shadows? Are they because an error of the CGI models or was it done on purpose?

I think the idea is that it's better than no shadows at all and it's the most they could do with the budget they had

either artistic choice or maybe its just cheaper that way since the fights are in 3D anyway and we know 3D got lots of triangles
