| Not terrible. Started out amazing, our boy CF made a great MC but Bee the author has stretched the series out to the point that now we just read for interest and a need to see it end. He should have ended it a few thousand chapters ago. |
| Pretty good entertainment - fast-paced, badass MC, action-packed, pretty girls, decent animation, voices and music. Straight-forward cultivation story. Sadly, none of the girls in this show is of any use. Pacing & action are also too fast - like I'm watching a 1.5X speedup donghua. A certainly fun and satisfying watch. I look forward to Season 2! |

@Meeno_mc easy money. Bee will keep it updated and he'll keep getting money. It's on top on 17k website which says enough about its popularity although I'll never understand why. I dropped it on 1600. It got on my nerve how series introduces new girl in every arc (copy paste of the previous one) and they all end up falling for mc and novel deliberately create dynamics between them that makes you hope for more but MC is impotent. Dude has enough libido to r*pe but not enough to accept girls, make it make sense lol.

as someone who has read the novel, yes. it's probably the worst I've read
Any good point it had at the beginning were ruined after thousand of chapters, each arc is the recycle of previous one, MC goes to new sect, piss off idiots and their family, they all try to kill him then some mysterious elder comes in, save him, he gets stronger then he kills the enemies sect and family, in later arc it goes to the point he doesn't even spare children and women who weren't even a part of it, same nigga claims to be a righteous dude, I haven't mentioned about the rape part yet. it's the most hated aspect of this, dude rapes some of his female enemies then act guilty over what he did to them and they somehow fall in love with him after getting ravaged
if even after all this you're okay with continuing watching anime then up to you. i quit after several thousand chapters but I've been following the spoilers and the fandom, they let me know what's happening and I'm glad I dropped it

| As someone who hasn't read the novel and have seen plenty of donghuas this one is among the best, in my opinion. Same level of enjoyment as Battle Through The Heavens and Tales of Demons and Gods. From animation quality to plot to MC personality (Badass) and its action, comedy etc etc it was all thoroughly enjoyable. 10/10. |

| @cHowaito you've got horribly low standards if you think this is a 10/10. there's not a single cultivation donghua that's a 10/10 including btth and soul land. an objective rating would take into consideration the story, the character development, the music/sfx, animation, art....everything. if you were rating a wuxia/xianxia cultivation donghua across all categories then mo dao zu shi or fanren would likely be an 8 or maybe a 9 if you're generous but not a 10 either. 10/10 = absolute masterpiece....and this is mid at best. it's better than a lot out there, but far from the best. |

| @Bakkupakkun Interesting take. I understand why you and others like you (perhaps the majority) would think of it like that. However, I came to the conclusion that there is no such thing as an "objective review"... And if there's no such thing as an "objective" rating then it must all be subjective. That's why, as mentioned in my profile, my rating is based purely on how much I enjoyed watching a show. So yes, 10/10. |
