| Kino's Journey - somewhat episodic, this has a good amount of tragic circumstance, but similar atmosphere to Haibane Renmei Sora no Woto - less over-all tragedy, but the light heartedness and interesting town/culture aspects are similar. |

| In regards to Rainbow, what part of "not too dark" can't you understand? Rainbow is very likely to get very dark later on. Anyway, try Dennou Coil, Kemono no Souja Erin and Kaiba. |

| I totally recommend ef a tale of memories and its sequel, ef - a tale of melodies Saikano Iriya no Sora, UFO no Natsu Honey and Clover I couldn't look at your list, everytime I opened it firefox would freeze, so sorry if you have seen these already :P |
