I have almost finished this.
But there are 2 movies.
Are those some kind of sequal or compilation of 1st and 2nd part?
Should i watch them ?

Watch the second movie, mostly a sequel with some new scenes, but the final battle is different

The first movie isn’t as good since it compresses some of the best parts of the first half of the show into a final battle that isn’t as good. It also cuts off right before the fight with the Spiral King and speeds through that fight in the second movie in the opening.
The second movie is definitely worth watching though, since it arguably improves on the second half of the show by getting past the slower parts and focusing on the final battle for the last third of the movie, which is better and even more awesome than the final fight in the show.

They are just remakes but I'd recommend watching them mainly the second movie since I thought it made the final few eps of the series even better.

if you watch half of the series,you need to watch 2nd movie,but if you watch the whole series,you need to watch the 2nd movie cuz there is a scene which didn't appear in series,the time that Simon turn Gurren Lagann to STTGL

i haven't watched the movies but I think I will watch soon but I heard that some things are different from the original and they are not good for example I heard that

in the movie in the final battle

They are recaps with some changes.
The first one is an absolute recap, so forget it.
The second one has some changes that you could like, mostly in the final battle. However, it has not more plot or character development or anything, so you could watch it but only if you want.

Yes must watch for visual feast!

The 2 movies might be recaps but they reanimate the final fights scenes, betweens the 2 movies, the 2nd movie Lagann hen, had the most reanimated and a redirectional final fight scene. BIGGER. BIGGER!!

Tbh the first movie is just a recap except for I think like the last 30-15 minutes of it. But it’s not really necessary so only watch if you really want to, because nothing really changes.

The second movie was also just a recap, but a few things changed that made the 2nd movie really enjoyable to me. Like more detail and a fantastic final battle. Really and epic moment in anime
