Which one do you think is better, naruto pre timeskip or naruto post timeskip ? I haven't watched shippuden yet, just curious which most think is better, so if possible try not to spoil shippuden

I think the only reason why people hate shippuden is because of the final arc although it concluded in a really good way other than that shippuden is superior in almost every which way

I miss the hand signs and taijutsu sound effects from Naruto but overall I prefer Shippuden more

Shippuden slightly. The first half of shippuden is marginally better than og imo but the war arc is such a drag and just not great and definitely makes shippuden worse than the potential it had.

I prefer og Naruto because the story is more consistent, the power levels as well as the fights still feel quite grounded. Shippuden has the highest highs, but I really the second half of the show

Definitely Shippuden. Og Naruto is just the setup of what is to come. Shippuden has Pain arc,Fated battle between brothers and tale of jiraiya the gallant...only chunin exams from og can stand beside these on equal level but has a much worse pacing. However Shippuden fell off after the five kage summit.

Shippuden had a great edge until the end of the Pain arc, and the Akatsuki arc as a whole, but everything after that was a load of bull.
The orignal is comparatively less aggravating without the fillers.

Naruto: Shippuden was more enjoyable for me.
Them being teenagers and gaining more powers and more enemies to fight with just adds more enjoyment.
I guess Shippuden has more action than Naruto.
However, if you are trying to find out if you should skip Naruto and start with Shippuden, then I strongly advise you to watch Naruto first as you will not know the important parts of the show.

Kinda missed actual ninja fighting and taijutsu from OG. At least Shippuden had various of fighting styles and not exaggerative Dragon Ball shit

Shippuden because it has better villains, better plot twists, the story is deeper and a lot of great character developments. Naruto is more lighthearted, obviously, as they’re all still kids, but everyone loves it because it set down the foundation of the story incredibly. Like the whole Naruto vs Sasuke storyline I think it’s just great to see the story started with that and ended with that.

I absolutely prefer OG Naruto.

Naruto fell just downhill during Shippuden (after timeskip)slowly.

It started a bit after the Pain arc.
The powerscaling (more and more DBZ style), wasted characters, and than the war arc..

Yeah it ofc also had good moments but everything bad and/or mediocre was just more bigger/bad.

A story that got dissapointing over the time.

Still I absolutely cried my eyes out when I watched the credits of The Last + the last scene. lmao 😂😂😭😭🥺🥺🤦‍♀️

I prefer Naruto Shippuden as before i watched naruto then i was already spolied of what powers he obtained and what he could do, so i wanted to see how he got those insane powers.

Finally a normal person. I dont get why most of fans choose shippuden over og naruto. Shippuden have only bettwr animation and some arcs are good but the rest is garbage.

This is a hard one and I could easily pick either. With og Naruto I really appreciate the tightness of the overall story and how it flows with not much time wasted between arcs and such. Every arc felt important in its own right and gave us many classic moments. Shippuden is of course bigger in almost every way. We get some all time classic fights, amazing characters, and so many answers to questions that were left hanging in og. I would pick Shippuden but it is very close and I love them both a lot and really just think of them as one big thing in the end.

I would say the ladder. More character development and all the build up in og naruto really pays off.

I prefer the original Naruto. I wish Shippuden had a different direction. Not a fan of spooky space aliens and mechs made out of chakra.

I think it's pretty distinct Naruto 2002 is far better than Shippuden
in terms of plot,fights,characters development and even the themes and power system Naruto surely surpass shipudden,I think Shippuden's ruined naruto's entire story especially with the worst arc I've ever seen ( 4th Shinobi ninja war).

Imo the series was divisive even before the final arc, mostly because Shippuden ignored a lot of the side characters outside of fillers. Rock Lee being the most obvious one; the fact that Kishi snubbed one of the most developed characters from pre-timeskip in Shippuden was sacrilegious. The same applies to Neji, Shino, Ino and basically every other Konoha ninja who wasn't Naruto, Sasuke, or Shikamaru. Even Jiraiya barely did anything in Shippuden before he died.

Pre-timeskip is better, although there are tons of things about it that I disliked too.

Yea agreed side characters were given little to none development in shippuden. Imo og naruto was more consistent but shippuden had more peaks

i haven't watched all Shippuden yet and I'm only on season 4 but something about Naruto makes me feel nostalgic. maybe because it was my first anime ever and i fell in love with it right away idk. I really love the show. makes me fullfill everytime I watch it :)
