Haha I can understand what you are trying to say. I read somewhere that it was actually a great marketing strategy that they released the two movies years before Shippuden ended. A marketing strategy that helped them get a wider audience for Boruto and get them hyped up for it.

That's actually pretty smart but I bet people who watched it before the shows had gotten so confused. Also explains why Momoshiki looked awful in the movie compared to the show.

It could of been cos the manga was finished at that point so they decided to release the movie thinking people have finished the manga

Well that's the point, get the audience confused to let them want to see how the rest of the Shippuden unfolded and how Boruto progresses.

That’s right. They were still wrapping up the war arc and the light novel adaption episodes after the last came out.

After Naruto the last, the Boruto movie released. The Boruto anime aired right after the Naruto anime ended, started with academy anime canon and adapting the movie content 50 episodes in. 1) The last movie released right after the manga ended 2) they had to release it before they could work on Boruto. The Boruto movie was most likely made to promote the upcoming manga.

I think you’re an only anime watcher. Bc naruto the manga ended in 2014 I think. While boruto had a manga in 2015 or 2016. So like it would make sense for boruto to have a movie before the ending of naruto. Also the movie introduced the premise of boruto, the anime series is kind of weak but there was improvements in the tv series tho like the way how momoshiki looks and the other guy. But I wish they could do more boruto movies so it could show most of the important arcs instead of having to watch the tv series since it’s full of filler.

plus the manga had ended at this point so manga readers already knew what was going down so the movies kept them in the community
