After IG(the parent company of wit studio) dropped vinland saga , a lot of people assumed wit won't continue to animate the second season , which is usually the case (like how a-1 pictures dropped seven deadly sins bcs of aniplex dropped it) but since wit is more independent and the director said that most of the staff is returning there was a chance that they could however after wit's reported losses it was stated that a shift in management to more profitable works will take place , so the chance that is wit returning is gone completely because vinland saga isn't profitable hence why IG dropped it in the first place and the staff that worked in vinland are mostly freelancers (freelancing costs money which was one of the reasons why studio wit lost money) and as i said most of the staff are freelancers so they change the studio easily.

Vinland saga did extremly low in blu ray sales ( around 500 i think) and was amazon prime exclusive so i don't think it gained much from licensing.

The reason why I created this thread is , as the title say to discuss which studio to take over , i'm not worried about the quality since it's the same staff which are passionate about the project , i'm worried about the consistency of it and will they be able to adapt the whole manga (which i really want) and they'll dry out after doing the second season , which is why i think the ideal situation is for a big studio to pick it up and invest in it so even if they lose money they won't go bankrupt but i don't think will lose money because if they invested in it they'd make profit of it even if it was little (wit made attack on titan and still lost money because they didn't invest in it) and the they'd be able to make multiple seasons.

there are a lot of studios that will do just fine but i don't think there many that are willing to ,I believe there are 2 real possibilities studio kafka and mappa .

studio kafka is most likely to take over bcs it was formed by former wit employees(some that worked on vinland saga and confirmed to be in the sequel) and is a subsidary of twin engine(they're the the ones who own the rights for the vinland saga anime) and that means they're most likely to animate most of the projects twin engine has the right to. But the thing is when the studio was created recently it was announced that they will animate the ancient magus bride ova and focus on that and there wasn't the slightest hint about them doing vinland saga not to mention they are very small , i don't think they can handle the workload.

studio mappa bcs the director is a mappa employee (i'm not sure if he was when he worked on season 1) and mappa has already worked with twin engine in dororo.

I'm curious to know what you guys think , if there was somethin i missed or i got wrong pls tall me.

Yeah, some guy in the YouTube comments said as well that few members left WIT studio and started their own studio (known as Studio Kafka). So, Studio Kafka is now going to animate Vinland Saga now. And WIT Studio will probably only make anime originals from now on. But, he didn't provide any official source for the information. So, can't say anything just yet.

I don't thin WIT will limit to anime originals. We have seen them become a money sink since they stopped making adaptations, that don't even pay for themselves, since the studio has been losing money for two years straight

wit is making ousama ranking which is based on manga started airing few days ago so yeah they are still making adaptations btw please watch ousama ranking it have great 1 st ep and probably going to be a underdog of the season
Ratings doesn't matter only enjoyment does.
Masterpiece or mid, generic or fresh, best or worst are all subjective
Eren is goat, and aot is still a masterpiece (eg.subjective opinion)

I wouldn’t worry about the studio in regards to the quality of this season. Adding to the fact that the staff is nearly the same, Yabuta has tweeted about working alongside Hiroya Hasegawa, who he considers to be the greatest Animation Producer he’s ever met. The upcoming arc seems to have less fight scenes too, potentially allowing the staff to focus more on dialogue and character acting.
