So the whole Kizuna movie shows that the chosen children have grown up and must face coming of age and adulthood. They will never be kids again, but their Digimon will always be in their hearts. Digimon in the 1999 series are also a symbolism for the chosen children's characteristics and help them mature. So now that they have matured, their Digimon sadly have no purpose and are no longer needed. I don't think there is another explanation^^ |
