I can't be the only one who has this theory...but for episode 8 The Ripper...I think it's inspired by the true story of Jack the Ripper.

Jack was a serial killer who lived in England during the Victorian Era, he killed 5 women, and was never caught.

Yet here we got "The Ripper" who killed 4 women. Only difference is Jack was a man, and The Ripper in Majo no Tabitabi did get caught.

I think that's not a theory, you are just stating a very obvious fact lol. I can't count how many animes i've watched with a character named just the same way XD

Dude, that's not a theory, you are just stating a very obvious fact that everyone already realized lmao. I can't count how many animes i've watched with a character named just the same way XD
Wait what? I didn’t know it was facts lmao. But now that I think about it makes sense.

Well, i don't know if everybody realized that, but i thought the conection was obvious XD. It seems like Jack is very known in Japan, in every anime with assasinations there is usually one character named Jack, or with the nickname Ripper or Reaper or something like that. I think his story is very know there imo.

Well he does appear in Record of Ragnarok as the fourth fighter of humanity. That’s where I first learned about him then I did some research on him. I’m surprised he was never caught.

Yeah i couldn't think of a recent anime where he appeared, nice catch. His story is very cool, at least as cool as a serial killer story could be xD

He killed whores. As easy as it may sound, the authorities didn't want him to get caught. He got rid of low class women that were shunned by upper class. And he spread fear in the streets, so again a problem less. No hookers in the streets, less crime to work on.
The Gods and Demons you fear and worship are as nothing to me!
