| Now dont get me wrong , i am more than grateful that this is even getting an anime adaptation . hopefully this would make the viewers pick up the manga , because its brilliant . but from a manga reader's POV , i dont think we can expect anything wonderful , reasons being : 1. Kaku yuuji's art : I mean come on , do you think there is any studio out there that can give an adaptation worthy of kaku sensei's art ? he is a monster , and his artwork is just phenomenal . it would be hard enough getting the character design good enough , let alone animating them .... 2. The sheer scale of things :- the amount of battle scenes between humans this manga has would be enough to make any animator sweat their pants , let alone the monsters . The monster designs that appear just in the beginning is extremely hard to animate , and most studios would most likely use cg for it . and the morphing scenes ? puh , its scary to even think about animating those.... and i dont think the manga is that popular for a big name studios or companies to show interest. Of course we could still get a banger studio who could blow it out of the park (like kny did with ufotable , even though the manga wasnt that popular in the beginning) , but chances are very low. Personally , i am not expecting anything great . the animation can be as good as something like kemono jihen , and i would be fine with it . BUT, the one thing i dont want them to do is a TPN s2 type of shit . the first thing the producers need to know is that they should not rush anything . doesnt matter if this isnt gonna get future sequels , do not tarnish its name with a horrible adaptation . if we can get 2 good personnel for the most important 2 spots , i.e . :- the series composer( very important for this series) and art director ,i think we will be fine.... |
