The setting ("The city") is huge. Like really huge. Its larger than a Dyson sphere. It engulfed the moon and its already close to Jupiter. And its still growing! Its split into megastructures or levels with some of them being planet size.

The tone of the movie is completely different from the one from the manga (i guess it had to be being on Netflix and all). However it does not dissappoint. Sound effects are hands down the best ive ever heard. OST is amazing as well.
CGI is great. You will get used to it in the first 10 min and in the end you will even like it.
The whole thing works really great as an introduction to the franchise and if you looked really closely you will see that they have already set up the story for a sequel.

Also, in the manga Killy has been travelling through the megastrucure for over 100.000 thousand years (for the purpose of the story it might as well be a million).

In the end you will either love it, hate it or you just wont get it. To each his own I guess :)

Well, thats about it. If there is anything to add please do.

Hope you liked my love letter for this franchise :)
