I kinda wished they had defined this.

1. If Giftia are composed of body's (android parts) and a operating soul that is produced separately, what stops them from backing up or producing set personalities. I'm not upset that they don't, because that would significantly remove any drama or conflict from the show, but a deeper explanation would have helped.

2. If there are laws protecting the human rights of Giftia, (remember, this was mentioned in the episode where they had the shoot the Wanderer), why are they allowed to be bought and sold? Where is the dividing line?

3. Are Giftia programmed with a set personality or purpose when sold? Do you buy "Young child model! It's like a cute 8 year old that never turns into a nasty teenager!"

4. Is a newly programmed Gifta a blank slate? What does it know? Nothing at all? A set of social and work guidelines?

5. How much do they cost? Why would you take a 30% discount on a new one when you can keep your old one but reprogrammed for free? That tells me the shell is the expensive component, not the operating soul.

There's just a lot I wish they would have filled out about the setting.
