| I know that feeling man. I've been watching Naruto for the last 14 years now. And seeing Naruto end is a bit sad but, he achieved his dream of being acknowledged by everyone, saved his best friend and became Hokage. Plus, he got married to the best girl and had kids. I think that's a really good conclusion. |

| I had a somewhat similar experience with the fanchise only less obsessive. I enjoyed the first series mostly for the other characters and didn't much care for Naruto as a character. I found Shippuden to be more entertaining story-wise and Naruto (also Sakura) improved as a character and became far less irrelevant and annoying. Shippuden's soundtrack was also epic. Still both series wouldn't win any awards or anything in my book, unless it's the negative variety like "most time wasted with pointless filler and flashbacks" award. |
